I’m so surprised (and relieved) that Square Enix listened to the feedback and announced the voice actress this time. Having to learn who voiced Locke from a mobile community rep on Discord a while after his release should not have been the way this was done so getting the proper fanfare out for Rinoa excites me.

Looking forward to August 16th! Hope I can actually find people to play matches with this time (I battled two days ago with 5 COMs ._.)

They have not given a single diddly about Dissidia and we are halfway through the season pass and only now are announcing who one of the voice actors are so yeah, it is odd and fudgemint is allowed to explore the different kinds of sorcery that brought this one.

Maybe I'm reaching with a 10ft pole on this, but I think announcing her English VA is not just because she hasn't been voiced in any media, but it may also give slightly more credence to the idea that she may be in Kingdom Hearts III. One of her alternate outfits is way too thematically similar to Hayner, Pence and Olette's KHIII outfit to be a mere stylistic coincidence.

    You’re right, you are reaching.

No matter how small the Dissidia community is, these characters being voiced for the first time is a big deal to many people and when Square Enix didn’t reveal the voice actor for Locke, either on social media or in the game itself, and instead had a Mobile Community Rep reveal who it was in a private discord chat which upset a lot of Final Fantasy fans who gave them feedback via social media and through the recent Square Enix survey.

They just happened to listen this time and announce the voice actress a few days before release because doing so is doing the very least for the game, something SENA have not been doing so far.

Aside from Rinoa and the awesome new map, they nerfed the hell out of some characters (aside from Terra who got buffs).

edit: regarding WoL, I'll have to do some testing to see if his movements are affected by the changes
