    Default RPG's and Cliches

I just felt like discussing what cliches you guys seem to notice in a lot of RPG's. Off the top of my head I can think of...

The princess in hiding that we're supposed to be so surprised is a princess.

    Amnesia.

    Hometown gets destroyed.

Quirky, high-pitched voice, generally annoying characters.

    1) Dark, brooding older character is totally the protagonist's father

    2) Is their a lead female? She's got a secret inner power/legacy that makes her uber important

    3) Obligatory lolmaze area (usually a forest, cause RPG characters apparently become direction impaired upon entrance)

    4) What? There's more than one world? No way!

    5) No matter how improbable, something will allow you to fly.

    6) Romantic relationships that go nowhere

    7) Final boss will have more than one form. Fact

    8) Lead male only knows how to use swords.

    9) There is (are) mysterious object(s) and it (they) must be found.

    10) The elements will have a place in the story somewhere. No exception.

    - The Princess is bored of her -gasp- lifestyle as a Princess... which extends beyond RPGs to Fairy Tale Movies.
    - Just because the end of the world is coming doesn't mean you can't do all the sidequests before wrapping it up with the big baddie.
    - When you defeat the overlord of the castle or some building, then it collapse FOR NO REASON
    - The big baddie you perceived throughout the game isn't the big baddie. He was either manipulated or have misinterpreted intentions.
    - Oh and the obligatory "there is one person who is behind all of this"
    - And whatever you think you can do, always remember that items that can revive people don't work outside of the game mechanics.

The main character will have a personality of:
    You need help? Sure!
    No! Stop! We shouldn't fight!
We'll save him because he's our friend!
    Friends friends!
YOU! EVIL VILLAIN! I WILL STOP YOU!
    Justice is righteous.

Generic personality for a lead like that(which I like to call the Naruto Cliche) annoys me. Quite a bit.

Actually, just watch the first episode of Tower of Druaga and that's about it.

He didn't do it, his twin brother did it.

All the playable characters look good. None of them are ugly.
