So, as we know, Batman hit by Darkseid's Omega Rays, which presumably killed him. However, it's been shown that the Omega Rays actually throw the people that it touches into parallel universes, through space and time, etc. Our Bruce Wayne has been thrown way back into the past, so while the present-day heroes are dealing with the current Black Lantern crisis, the real Batman is stuck way in the past
