I always feel like reading a good book, it's a great feeling. As for the Hunger Games, I have read it, actually. (and its sequel too!) We had to do a project for English where we got to choose between six or seven books and talk about them on an internet forum with our classmates, and Hunger Games and its sequel were on the list. It's a decent read, even though it's kind of corny and predictable at times. I like the sequel better than the first though, so if you read and like the first you should definitely continue. I know what you're saying about the Lord of the Rings too, even though I haven't read it in years. If you want to talk about boring though, the Silmarillion (by Tolkien as well) is one of the longest and driest things I have ever read. It's really, really good though.
I hope everything goes well with your father, I can sort of empathize with your situation, it's been about as long since I've seen my mother. It's a good thing that you're enjoying this last year of school so much, I think I'd have to agree. (even if I keep ending up with detentions and in school suspensions for not going to my useless classes, which is pretty awful.)
If I (for some reason) don't talk to you in the next ten days, then happy early birthday! Do you have any exciting plans for the day? (are you finally going to be an adult for this birthday, or are you one of the younger seniors?)
As for me, there hasn't been too terribly much going on. I'm still busy with 'work', school is boring as ever, but at least I'm trying a bit harder, stuff like that. I can't think of anything really interesting to say, but if you're curious about anything, just ask and I'll be happy to answer.
