From those I've talked to that saw the LWW movie before they read it, they had a hard time getting into the book. Lewis has a minimalist approach to writing the series that it leaves a lot up to your imagination; and when you have a movie to fill in that, there's less to really wrap your head around.

Well, if you want to read just Prince Caspian, I would suggest starting now. It's not a terribly long book.

Yeah the whole series is an easy read. but I wouldn't recommend to read them in a chronological order. IT is actually much more rewarding (yes rewarding) if you read it in published order

1.1 The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (1950)
1.2 Prince Caspian: The Return to Narnia (1951)
1.3 The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (1952)
1.4 The Silver Chair (1953)
1.5 The Horse and His Boy (1954)
1.6 The Magician’s Nephew (1955)
1.7 The Last Battle (1956)

Agreed, reading them in the chronological order leaves a lot of mystery out of the series as far as The Magician's Nephew goes. There are also plot subtleties that are missed out on when you read them that way.

Actually, no. It turns out that the other cities theater had stopped carrying it about a week before I went there. Also, we saw Jumper. Bad movie. but, there big movie theater was about the size of our dollar theater.

Anyway, it turns out that, while I was in the different place, my theater was carrying Cloverfield. It was gone by the next week.

So, I guess I'll just wait till it comes out on dvd. Hopefully Best Buy doesn't burn down.

I personally read TLWW Before it came out in theaters. Actually, a couple years before.

G.I. Joe is going to be awesome. The actor who was darth maul as snake eyes and the actor of the mummy as Zartan. Two great choices.

Trailers - Lakeview Terrace - Medium

New Edit 4-30-08: Another Hulk Trailer

Apple - Trailers - Incredible Hulk - Trailer - Medium

EDIT: 5-2-08 LAND OF THE LOST MOVIE (for those who remember this show xDD LOOOVED IT!)

fandango quote:

Quote:
Maybe it's just me, but there's still something to be said for going the CGI-less route. For every great digital effect (e.g. the superhero outfit in Iron Man, which, like the movie and its lead star, is fantastic), there are many more that don't quite fit the bill (say, the not-so-legendary walking dead in I Am Legend).

Those who loved the Land of the Lost t.v. show will be glad to know then that director Brad Siberling will remain true to creators Sid & Marty Kroft's orginial kitschy sci-fi vision. The big screen version finds Will Ferrell and friends seeking a mystical portal home to their own dimension while evading dinosaurs, monkey men and those weird-looking horned creatures, the Sleestak.

And, in keeping with the 'real guys in green pjs' theme, the Sleestak will remain that way, albeit with more expensive-looking scales and bug eyes. One other change, according to USA Today...instead of using crossbows, the lizard people will pull quills from their spines and shoot them like arrows (yikes!). Below's a first look...

To be honest. I didnt' even knwo about iron man until about 2 moths before its release.

but I suppose I can grab the release dates for those and post them for countries that don't have it yet.

but also I don't think that it will box office as much as narnia, indiana jones, and batman will. thats why I predicted them to be the top 3.
