Frozen. Unable to flinch.

Anxiety. Fear. Surprise. None of these froze the boy. He had been attacked. He was literally frozen solid. Covered in ice. He couldn't move, no matter how much he tried.

He looked at her with such pathetic eyes. Unable to move everything except those eyes.

Her deep blue eyes started down at the boy. A hand muffled her voice. The other cradled him. Keeping a tight grasp on him.

She choked. Trying so hard to hold it back.

The girl gave a sniff, a cough. Her hand kept her breath away from him.

Her hand, however, couldn't hold back her scream, nor her tears. Casting her hand aside. Throwing her head back. Mouth agape in a scream, as tears scrolled down her cheeks.

"VEN!"

Okay. Explanation time! This is the prologue for my KH fan project, Betwixt + Between. Yes, I just wrote it on a whim while listening to 'Fate of the Unknown' on a constant loop. But it just seems to fit so well, so I couldn't resist! Now, for who everybody is in this prologue, you might have to think about it. It might not be who you think it is!

Anywho... Just a note: I'm reediting ALL of the chapters that I've written so far. I'm going to try to make things shorter and more likely to be read in one sitting; most people said 'Whoa. That chapter was LONG this time.' I'm also going to work on suspense 'n stuff. And this is aimed as a bit of a horror story, though it's more of a thriller, anyways.

So, I hope you enjoy my story! I'll be back with the chapters soon! And wish me luck to finish all of this. I have 5 of 6 stories to complete... Oh boyyyyyy.

Ah, okay then. Just use regular size for stories then. It'll make it easier to read.

Yeah, it definitely makes it a lot easier. But then you realize how long your chapters actually are D: Which sucks and means you have to re-edit. I PROMISE I'M NOT PESSIMISTIC.

Oh. Um. CHAPTER NEWS. I'm trying to do a dialogue thing in the first chapter of one of the stories, but I'm seriously hoping that it'll be up soon. And I forgot to say something about what I was looking to fix specifically in the beta thread. CRAP. But I don't want to bug people, so I'm just going to try to shorten the chapter on my own. I figured out the whole dialogue thing, though! :D I just need to roleplay! ROLEPLAYING SOLVES EVERYTHING INVOLVING WRITING.

...AKA the first chapter'll be up soon! I'm going to try SO HARD to not take forever with posting them up. They're all done and everything, but re-editingggg~ D:

I have a teaser/next chapter for this... but after this, I'm not going to post anything else until I edit the last 5 chapters that I wrote. I'm trying seriously hard to shorten them, as they're horribly long and drag on and on which is sucky. I'll post a preview-ish thing before I'm finished with those, though. Once I edit the chapters and have... chapter 7 or 8 finished, I'll start posting each one every one or two weeks.

Sorry it has a schedule and everything, but I'll have worked on this for 3 years in October and I actually just want to finish it. :<

These last few days... They've been kind of crazy.

This journey; this adventure. It ended now and I thought everything from it was just going to disappear. Even my friends left! I didn't need the keyblade anymore and it was just back to normal island life. It's really hard for anything to be 'normal', though.

I ran back home and my mom wasn't even a little mad at me. I almost drowned because of Nobodies. Kairi said she was worried and we actually kissed because of a paopu fruit. But then, Roxas showed up.

And so did a letter. That damn letter.

I came here, thinking that the King would be there, and Riku and Kairi even snuck along behind. I wish they've would've stayed back on the island. They wouldn't have to suffer through this...

The thought was... vicious. Every single time I remembered it, it bit me in the face.

I watched them disappear. I wanted them disappear from my eyes. I watched their agony. Their pain. I saw it all...

But, I couldn't move to save them. I was frozen. I was scared. I was horrified. I couldn't bare to see them in that sort of pain, but I couldn't move either.

Now, I was in that swell of pain. I was standing alone. I was standing alone in the darkness...

Why do I feel so empty? I lost my friends... They're gone now! They're all gone. I try to hold back tears, but they come anyways. Because I couldn't move my feet fast enough.

I can still hear their laugh. That horrible, sadistic laugh. It's still echoing in my ears...

I'm all alone now. I have nothing. Because...

The darkness is going to eat me alive. Yet, it will never hear my screams, because I have none.

Until now.

I'm going to try really hard to finish the editting ASAP and get chapters up... [though my plan may be foiled a bit 'cause one of my friends hasn't told me about their character's history, which puts a horrible dent in things. >.<;] I've got the first chapter done so far, randomly starting working on the 3rd chapter, and if any of those chapters are too long, it may be a two parter. 'Cause one of the chapter numbers is key with one of the chapters... [that didn't make sense orz D:]

Anywho~ I wrote actual chapters for Kingdom Epilogue a whiiiile ago, so I might as well post them for everybody to read while I'm editting the chapters. :d Here's a link:
