Originally posted by The Liberator: First of all, I put this here because it involves both KH1 and KH2, and Future of KH doubles as General Discussion. If it belongs somewhere else, please, move it. Now onto the reason for this. People are always bitching about KH1 Sephiroth being much stronger than KH2 Sephiroth. They are wrong, because its not that KH1 Sephiroth is so much stronger, its that KH1 Sora is so much weaker. KH1: InKH1, after Sora rescues Kairi, he becomes a "human-form" heartless, or 1/3 of Sora's whole self. Now, this is the first part where someone will say Im wrong, because in KH2, Naminé states that Roxas is only half of Sora. this is wrong because: Whole being = Heart, Body, and Soul Heartless = Heart = 1/3 whole being Nobody = Body and Soul = 2/3 whole being So, before Sora and Roxas are combined at the beginning of KH2, Sora is only 1/3 of himself, and is this fraction at the time he first fights Sephiroth and lives. In other words: 1/3 = 33.3r% (r = repeated), therefore: KH1 Sora vs Sephiroth = 33.3r% of Sora vs Sephiroth. KH2: OK, in KH2, when Sora fights Sephiroth, Sora is whole again, at 100% of himself. However, the major reason that Sephiroth seems so much easier, is that Sora has the Drive abilities to help him. Now, many people will wait until they have Ultima Weapon to fight Sephiroth, at which time they are likely to have also maxed out every drive form. Now, the Drive forms divide Sora and specialize in a specific area: Valor = Strength Wisdom = Magic Master = everything increased Final = everything MAXED Also, when all drives are maxed, normal Sora has 3/4 of each Drive ability's full potential. In other words: 3/4 = 75% = .75 .75 + .75 + .75 + .75 = 3.00 = 300%, and 100% + 300% = 400%, therefore: KH2 Sora vs Sephiroth = 400% Sora vs Sephiroth. KH1: 33.3r% Sora vs Sephiroth KH2: 400% Sora vs Sephiroth. Now the problem with this, is that Sora's power and whatnot is actually only divided in the storyline, while the gameplay keeps him at 100% of himself the entire time, so in actuality: KH1: 100% Sora vs Sephiroth KH2: 400% Sora vs Sephiroth So, storywise, in KH1 you fight him at 33.3r% of your power, but in the game itself, your still at 100% Sora, while in KH2 when you fight him, Sora is at 400% of his power, or has the power of 4 Soras combined. Sephiroth isn't any stronger or weaker, he is just that much stronger than Sora. Feel free to respond as you see fit. Last edited by Audo; November 11th, 2008 at 01:00 AM. | |

Rep Power: 11 ![]() ![]() ![]() Level: 18 EXP: | Also because the fact that Sora has infinatly more Abilities in Kh2 opposed to that of KH1 Thats a simple explanation why hes so much easier in KH2. |

| Militaires Sans Frontieres | I don't think anyone really is whining about him being easier, they just simply state that he was easier in KH2. |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() Level: 20 EXP: | Nice way of explaining it through game-mechanics, I must admit. I can't say whether or not the storyline (aka, Sora with Roxas and without) really effected Sora's strength in game, but it's true that KH2 Sora has more abilities and strengths up his arsenal. And, there's probably other mathematical things involved, but still. It's a good observation. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() Level: EXP: | Don't mean to damper on your Sephiroth parade, but there seems to be one bit of information that doesn't make sense in your theory. You say that in KH2 Sora is 100% compared to the 33.3% in KH1, and you say that because he is now 'with' Roxas when actually he isn't. In KH2 Sora doesn't actually get the Roxas part of him back until the end of the game when you are in the midst of fighting Xemnas, and obviously you can't go back to fight Sephiroth at that point. One way I could misunderstand you is if you think about when Roxas sees Sore and the gameplay with him ends, but he doesn't actually go back to Sora (otherwise why would he do it again later?). My thought is that his time as a nobody ends, which is hinted in some videos for KH 358/2 days (which I am looking forward to). That's just my view. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() Level: EXP: | Really? Is that a serious comment, because I thought that using the stop spell wasn't that difficult to do, plus you could dodge in every direction, and the phantom never kills you in one hit. Kurt Zia seemed like a harder boss than Sephiroth, at the time anyways. |
