I don't think you can use the cutscene length as a guideline for how long a movie would be. A compilation of scenes makes for a pretty bad movie. It's not padding or filler to let the characters breathe, grow and interact with one another. It's a different medium. Just... write good dialogue...

It'd kinda require spending time with the trio and letting the characters grow and breathe. Which would be ideal if you're going to make seven movies, but you'd need to be confident you're going to make more than one.

I genuinely don't know how to make a movie out of this. At gunpoint, I'd say make a movie from Destiny Islands until meeting Donald and Goofy and getting on the Gummi Ship. But would that sell? And would Disney approve it?

Neku is clearly Sora, Shiki is clearly Kairi, Beat is clearly Roxas, Rhyme is clearly Namine. Seriously? I remember talking about this when the game came out in these forums, when we weren't sure what the next sequels were going to be like.

It's actually amazing. TWEWY starts as an honest to god straight character copy of KH, and Reynatis is just Verum Rex, which is just Versus 13. So a copy and a copy of a copy get to play together in the sandpit, and the original is stuck god knows where.

I don't consider that sort of thing progress. More like, capitalism and consumer culture eventually destroying everything I hold dear.
