Okay, it's generally thought that Mary was a teenager when she gave birth to Jesus. So if she was impregnated by God, doesn't this make God guilty of statutory rape?

proof that she was that young: that was the time young girls were given away for marriage at that time in that culture. odds are that if she was much older, no1 would have wanted to marry her (most likely).

just to explain this idea, because of OUR sin we are separated from God. b/c we screwed up, God had the right to destroy the whole universe and start over again, but He didn't. b/c He loved/loves us. and that's why He gives us the chance of eternal life w/ him in the form of believing in Jesus and admitting our own sinfulness.

when you think about it, God is actually pretty cool for doing that considering we did.....oh yeah, nothing worth anything.

umm....no....he merely made a miracle happen.

its a miracle that she was pregnanted and still be a virgin. it makes sense, for someone as pure as jesus to be born out of someone who hasnt been touched.

The responses in this thread are even more hilarious than the thread topic.

You only lose your virginity if you have sex with another human, according to most definitions. Mary could get banged by God every night and still remain a virgin. Not to mention that there could be some dispute over this considering that Jesus had siblings.

Also, how would God have impregnated Mary if not through conventional means? Simply saying he's omnipotent raises questions about how human Jesus really was, and if Mary was actually a surrogate instead of a biological mother.

Of course had Mary known prior that she would go through this, she probably would have been all too willing, hence it is not rape.
