My favorite is Eragon! The movie leaves out a LOT of details.

I don't normally enjoy reading, but I do really like all of the Stephen King books.

Also, though they may be old, any books or poems that Edgar Allen Poe wrote in his lifetime go down on my list of favorites as well.

Well, they were more on the short story side of literature than they were on novels, actually.

But, both his short stories and his poems were and are amazing, in my opinion. I got ideas for my own poetry from Poe's writing.

My best friend and I hated the movie. We thought it sucked. I mean they didn't get anything right. I heard from a lot of people that didn't read the book that they loved it. But I love the book though. And I have the video game for the DS. I loved Eldest too.

Some of my other favorite series are "Harry Potter" (of course), "Young Wizards" by Diane Duane, "The Keys to the Kingdom" by Garth Nix, "The Lost Years of Merlin" by T.A. Baron, and "Circle of Magic" by Tamora Pierce. I also really liked this book by Carol Plum-Ucci called "What happened to Lani Garver?". It was an excellent read. I have a bunch more but it's getting late.

Harry Potter series is probably my favorite. The Regulators and The Mist are two good Stephen King books (although the latter is just a really long short story). I also really enjoyed The Star's My Destination by Alfred Bester. If you're a fan of the sci-fi genre definately check it out.
