Splinter Cell vs. Metal Gear Solid

-Now, for players of these games, which do you think is the best of both series, and with what game?
-Why doy ou like your choice better?
-Which character do you prefer, Snake or Sam Fisher?
-Which elements of the game and gameplay do you like better?
-Which plot and storyline is better?
-Which are you more anxious for, Metal gear Solid 4 or Splinter Cell Double Agent?

MGS all the way!
it has a better storyline and Snake is a way better character than Sam Fisher Snake has to fight big robots and super enhanced humans, and what does Fisher do? he just fight terrorists and thats kinda lame

I have to go with Splinter Cell, I just love the stealth better than MGS'

The Metal Gear series is much better in my opinion. Metal Gear actually has a story and it can be funny and serious at the same time, but it also has some supernatural parts in the game also, but that is what makes the Metal Gear series so much different from other killing games. It also has its sad parts in the story.

But Splinter Cell is just a sneaking game with hardly no story and it is just the original stealth game that inculdes shooting and killing. I like shooting and killing in games, but it has to be more than just that.

If you are in a tight choice and you want to choose which game that you want to buy, and the choices are Metal Gear or Spinter Cell . You should pick up Metal Gear because it is just a better game overall in my opinion.

I'm not trying to dog Splinter Cell though. They are both very good gaming series nonetheless.

I'm with MGS. The reason why I like it is similar to the The conqueror's reason. It can be funny and serious at the same time. It isn't boring to listen to the dialog by the way. It's a sorta psychological experience with metal Gear. And in metal gear you can kill tons of enemys and in spinter cell you get caust it's basically game over. I don't like spinter cell too much but I respaect it for it's success.

BUT still MGS is awesome as hel.

My sentiments exactly.

On an examination of Splinter Cell on its own, I found it to be too frustrating when it boiled down to trial and error.

Yeah, I got some moments that just made me love the game but just way too many frustrations about it. Thinking about that boiling anger, MGS may prove to be better overall and yes, it may be different genres with not so many similarities but who says I'm not aloud posting a thread as so? No one, so yeah. I didn't know there were so many MGS fans, at school people only talk about Splinter Cell.

Both of these games rock!! They both have to deal with stealth and all of that. I like metal gear better because of it's story line. Thats about it, but in everything else there about equal.

Yeah, MGS does have to take over for the storyline, add a descent storyline to Splinter Cell, decrease the frustrating moments and I think I'd go for Splinter Cell all the way for everything.
