I've updated the OP with new trailers and gameplay from E3, as well as a list of known new content and gameplay changes.
In other news, let's get an official idea of what people on KHI really want to see happen with or to Halo 4.
Given no news has yet been given on Forge Mode, my thoughts are on that. Although I personally don't make use of it much, it would be a severe shame to lose that functionality altogether. Anyway, what I want to see would just be a complete translation of Forge 2.0 from Reach to 4. Have it function pretty much exactly the same, but have these additions:
- The primary and secondary colours of pieces can be edited. Forge world maps all looked the same in terms of colour no matter what you did with them.
- Button/switch functionality. Link zones, vehicles, weapons and blocks with buttons and switches that can be activated by the player. Doing so switches the pieces between set locations, makes them disappear or spawns them. Have games and levels with actual doors and constructable paths instead of having to hide stuff behind walls and with grav lifts and one-way shields.
- Physics/gameplay zones. Areas within which custom settings take over - low/no gravity, high speed, super damage, unlimited grenades, etc. These can be affected by the aforementioned switches. Colour filters can now be applied to particular areas and shapes.
- Timed zones. The effects within aforementioned custom zones can vary alternatingly ,randomly, etc. Imagine an indoor invasion map where in the third phase the whole area pulses red every few seconds. Red alert, baby.
