Trickster is by far the greatest style in DMC3 and 4. I can run through that game, barely getting touched by anything. I was learning alot of pro stuff from the Truestyle tournaments to improve my DMC game and it really helped. Dante is ridiculous with trickster, just teleporting back to back through damage.

Trickster is an amazing style that really helps, but Royalguard is very helpful if you know how to use it.

I could never master Trickster or Royal Guard. D: I thought even Table Hopper was way too advanced for me. :c

Trickster just saved my ass against Nevan. I'm playing through the game on Hard so I can unlock DMD and Nevan was kicking my ass while I had only whittled down about a third of her health. Started truly applying Trickster and remained untouched for the rest of the fight. It's a lifesaver, no doubt.

Not sure if this has been posted yet:

    Click me

Gamespot is showing the Capcom Captivate demo of DmC: Devil May Cry tomorrow (click the link and look at the timer on the right). The embargo for Capcom Captivate is also lifted tomorrow, so hopefully we'll get loads more info.

On another note, I've spent the past week playing the HD Collection and replaying DMC4. It was fun playing them all back to back and seeing how the series progressed and degressed at times. I am still annoyed at some story elements of DMC4, like them leaving out the fact Nero is Vergil's son (which makes so much more sense than leaving it out). Anyway can't wait for new info on the game.

Now I can move on to the Silent Hill Collection.

So I've been playing Devil May Cry 3 HD and damn I forgot how bad I am at these games. I can only beat it on easy :|
Oh well. Looking forward to DmC info though.

It has never been confirmed that Nero is Vergil's son.

It would make more sense if it was actually true, but hey, who cares about the canon as established in the game, right? We'll just go with a novel that has hints and the word of a single localisation employee from three years ago.
It's not mentioned in the game, and since the book and game cover roughly the same events, I'm inclined to go with the game over the book since it's the prime medium. Plus, the person who 'confirmed' it hadn't actually worked on the development of the game or its story, so their 'confirmation' is somewhat suspect at best.

For comparison, the Metal Gear Solid HD collection sold roughly 60,000 in the 1st week of sales in Japan, making the DMCHD collection a solid outing considering it did something relatively close.

Default Hands-on Preview: DmC: Devil May Cry

    Destructoid posted some impressions:

I found myself playing through the demo stage a few times, mostly because the combat felt so nice -- it's so tight and responsive that I wanted to try it again and again.
