Official Site: Marvel vs Capcom 2 Quote:
This edition of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 based on the superior Dreamcast code base, featuring two optional HD-friendly upscaling filters, namely “smooth” and “crisp.” For the purists among us, Capcom also has included a “classic” option, which leaves all visual facets completely untouched.
Beyond that, all-new game modes and video options are being added, such as an online mode utilizing the same net code found in HD Remix and widescreen support. In regards to the 16:9 viewpoint, gameplay will still take place on a 4:3 field, meaning the backdrops are essentially stretched with a few camera tricks thrown in for good measure.
| - gameplay has not been altered whatsoever to accommodate the changes
- a standard 4:3 mode complete with black borders and all is available.
- all 56 characters will be available immediately upon booting up the game. No need to go through the hassle of unlocking them this time around.
- Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade for $15 or 1200 MS points.
We also heard a while back about possible plans for a Marvel vs. Capcom 3. So who knows what the future holds for this series.
I still love and play the original for PS1.
So with that said, here is a thread for all things Marvel vs Capcom.

I used to play the Arcade at work all the time (Comic Book Store Of Course)
I Prefer Marvel Vs Capcom 2 But if we could download these games for like Wii points and Gamer points that would be Amazing.

I got MVC2 used for 70 dollars I believe, only to have it disappear from my room a few days later.
I rage over the event to this very day.
I still have the case, too. D:

The game was AMAZING. | Nothing would change except who you can play.

Currently playing: Pokemon Soul Silver | Re: Marvel vs. Capcom It would be cool if they make an online MVC. Those were andstill are my favorite games to play in the arcade. I just hope they split up the servers by how good you are because I don't want to go into a random match with like an uber professional and get my ass whooped.

So online would be nice. | |

Anyway, even if it doesn't have online play, I'd still probably get it because I don't own it. Have you seen the prices the game has gone for on ebay? lol I'm quite sure this wouldn't be quite as extreme.
