Mine was just about under 2 hours. I could probably pull it off again, but I would need to make a normal run to get used to things again. The beginning of Act 5 is the only one I think I would have some problems with, but unlike other MGS games, you have unlimited saves on this one so it shouldn't be too much trouble.

Act.2 was even hard too if i remember right that part where Drebin is driving is insane -_-" and that part with Eva while doing the Big Boss Run was a major heart breaker lol. Damn Hideo Kojima and his team why couldn't they make the trophies like MGS3 had?

I always tried to get it under a hour but due to some parts i could never pull it off lol. Act.5 the part with Mantis or getting to her? For me it would have to be of course Act.1, Act.3 and maybe Act.4 no doubt for Act.5 I had a hard time on Mantis and Ocelot damn that second phase where he can inflect choke damage with that punch was unbelievable. I don't think i plan to do it but good luck Wastewander ^_^b

Getting to her. I remember it was pretty risky because of the Gekkos; especially the one that was behind me the whole time I was opening the door at the end of that part. I do some risky things where only some of the times do I actually pull it off. That's pretty much how I was able to get it under 2 hours. Took a bit of practice tbh.

Also, I kind of forgot about the Ocelot boss battle. Yeah, so just in general Act 5 is the most difficult one for me. It took me ages before I was able to finally beat him. If I recall, I died so many times my hands got tired. xD

I may not be a big on it, but I always like some sort of challenge so I'll definitely try again. Thanks ^^

Same here all the risky parts in the game was all practice and remembering lol! But Act.3 with Eva words can not explain on how i felt about that part, By any chance what smoke grenade were you suppose to throw the Red or Yellow lol? I just remembered a other BS part where you have to fight the gekkos and raiden fights vamp that part was just crazy! Ocelot is so dangerous during the second phase i remember i was scared to even try attack him some times.

I tried replaying the game on Liquid Easy just to get the hang of it again. God it was so boring. I need some sort of challenge. So I jumped into Big Boss Extreme instead. I love it. I don't know if I'll be able to get under 5 hours this time since I forget so much of how to speedrun it except for the beginning of Act 1.

It's a shame they closed down MGO. I was looking forward to getting back into multiplayer.

The best handheld metal gear title.

What I'm trying to say is that Konami should let Shinta Nojiri direct more Metal Gear titles.

Good. People should want Shinta Nojiri, but unfortunately that's not going to happen -- he quit KojiPro after MGS4.

There was actually some speculation by some people that originally Kojima wanted Nojiri to take over things and direct the next Metal Gear games (Rising included) because its obvious the guy knows what he's doing.

However he didn't feel like continuing to work on the same franchise and has expressed an interest in making games on handhelds over consoles in a NeverDead interview. Which is pretty good, at least he's off doing his own thing and doing what he wants even if NeverDead wasn't a big hit.

Speaking of Rising I recently watched the trailer for the KojiPro version, and holy crap Kojima was right, it didn't look fun. It looked awkward as hell.

More cutscene length and codec details for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - National Video Game News | Examiner.com

There will be shorter cutscenes for rising, but most of the story will be told via codec in game.

Yoji Shinkawa only designed Raiden.

There is a reason for Sam's disproportionate thighs.

Team is considering MGS2 and MGS4 Raiden skins.

Hinted that most of the trailers from the 25th anniversary event will show up at PAX.<

I love how his hair textures look so much better now. They looked pretty bad imo before.

Default Kojima Expresses Interest in a Silent Hill That Uses The FOX Engine

TwitLonger — When you talk too much for Twitter

"Silent Hill" movie that I borrowed from Murashu as the next sequel is coming out. It would be a scary game if we make Silent Hill game on FOX engine.%uFF01(◎_◎;) Twitter / Kojima_Hideo:

TwitLonger — When you talk too much for Twitter

"Silent Hill" is in closed room setting and doesn't require full action so that we can focus on the graphic quality. Enemy doesn't have to be a lot or move fast. It only requires scariness by graphics and presentation. As being a creator making action game in open world, such game is very enviously attractive. Wish someone could create this on FOX engine.

Make it happen Konami! What's funny is that Masahiro Ito (The art director for SH1-3) favored the tweet. Kojima is pretty much a gaming guru.

Metal Gear 25th anniversary event to ‘shake the industry’

Next week’s Metal Gear 25th anniversary event at Tokyo Midtown will be full of “a lot of exciting announcements,” according to Kojima Productions Report podcaster Ken Mendoza, speaking on the latest recording of the podcast.

And these will be big. At least, according to Chris Johns, who works alongside Mendoza.

“A lot of things to look forward to next week,” said Johns, “not just for fans, but I think the industry’s gonna be shook by what we’re going to be able to present here.”

The event will occur on August 30
Big announcements in 5 days. Could be a new game or maybe a new IP. Stay tuned.

Isn't there an artwork of Big Boss with a dog beside him (can't remember the breed)?
