Exactly. Cloud is the kind of guy you laugh at with your friends when you walk past them. Tidus is the kind of guy who laughs at him with you. I mean, I liked FFVII, but not because of Cloud.

Oh and being depressed and emo is always a good thing? At least Tidus isnt on the brink of suicide and mentally unstable like Cloud...hell I for a fact know that if Cloud was real he'd be in a mental health hospital....oh yeah that is SO cool..

yeah ff VII was a great game i liked vincent and the other characters but cloud really gets on my nerves zack was better off alive...... and cloud dead...

And what is so bad about being "too happy"? I mean shoot, he still looks on the bright side of things even when the world is in danger. He doesn't just mope and wait for forgiveness. He gets his butt out there and finds the best solution possible. That's a real hero.

Cloud never acted like a hero. He just sat around moping like a goon and waited for everything to happen. Sure, he may have fought a few battles, but only so he could go back to his bench and mope around some more.

and if wasn't for Hojo and jenova cells and thinking he was Zack.. Cloud would be dead... The only reason he made it that far was because of Hojo.

But he not REAL. He just an video character.
And for some people that all they know is depressed, suicide, and be mentally unstable.

Indeed, but Cloud makes emos and depressed etc ppl looks bad.. I mean really really bad.. Cloud needs to kill himself. He makes emo look bad..

Tidus the way they made the character was 1000000000% times over.

There being depressed and then theres being cloud. Okay, I have been there so you can't say " you wouldn't understand" but before he found out who/what he was and before aeriths death, he had absolutely no reason to be depressed, and yet he was.

Whereas tidus had an drunk abusive father(it was quoted that when jecht was drunk he would get into fights and beat his wife and tidus), a father who left him and his mother, his mother died, his only home was destroyed, he has plenty of problems but he stayed cheery, because he much rather just get on with his life.

yeah thats why tidus is way better he stood cheery even after all those tough times if it was cloud he would probably have gone nuts...

Good job on reading my comment a little more literal than it needed to be. Tidus dresses like a fag and is constantly whinin' and bitchin' about crap I simply do not care about. By doing this, he kills any respect he could have gotten from me.

Now Cloud? He had some real character. Instead of complaining about his problems like a certain homosexual, he keeps them bottled up, which in turn adds to the depth of his character. Yeah, he chases Sephiroth TO KILL HIM. Is blood-shed not manly enough for you? And is it Clouds fault he's not a horny little pre-teen like Tidus?

Another thing, someone said Cloud dresses like a chick. >_> Are you kidding me? And Tidus doesn't? Please.
