Yup, I forgot about the Death Star. Who could've easily destroyed the planet and then destroy the rebel base. Instead they waited like idiots and went around the corner.

If they shot Yavin(planet) wouldn't it rain huge meteors on it's moon where the rebel base was. Or throw off the gravitational pull on the moon where the base was, sending the moon out into space disrupting the rebels plans and giving the empire time for a second shot on their base. Man the empire is stupid.

Stormtroopers sucked because they were the bad guy cannon fodder while in the prequel trilogy, they didn't die as much since they were good (until Order 66)

I am not sure, but weren't storm trooper and clone the same? I thought the clone of Episode II-III ended up getting the name "Storm Troopers", and the little difference in outfit is due to the original trilogy being old...

During the early years of the Empire, the stormtroopers were pretty much the surviving clonetroopers of the Clone Wars. Yet there was a incident around ten years before Episode IV when a new batch of Jango Fett clones from Kamino launched a Rebellion againist the Empire. They were defeated.

Humans were conscripted into the Stormtrooper ranks.

Stormtroopers can barely see out of there helmuts so they have bad accuracy yet the clone troopers can see so they can hit. so clone troopers win unless stormtroopers go out without their uniforms then the stormtroopers will win.

Republic clonetroopers were all clones of Jango Fett, one of the most skilled marksmen and bounty hunters in the Galaxy, and were actually trained either by him, his clones, or other Mandalorians.

Imperial stormtroopers were mostly Human conscripts

Not exactly. They were the same in a certain degree. By the time of Episode IV, most of the stormtroopers are not Jango Fett clones like the original Republic army

They were a mix of Episode II and Original Trilogy armor all in one
