Watchmen is the best comic book ever made. (That’s fact Wizard magazine and other comic magazines always rate it number 1. It’s like the Godfather of comic books.)

It ranks up there with Sandman, Akira (Jap.) and Wanted.

Pretty sure DC is the better company.

Superman is 70 years old this year and Batman will be next year.
DC was around for the Golden Age of Comics. Marvel came about during the Silver Age.
Without Superman, we wouldn't have superheroes.

Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, etc. were all created well before the 50's.
DC's characters are the ones that are cited when literature and history analysts talk about modern day gods.
The Ancient Greeks had Zues and Apollo and Hades. We have Green Lantern, Flash and Wonder Woman.

Also, the range of characters found in DC is more diverse, and they're allowed the freedom of doing the outlandish unlike in Marvel where everything has to have a "realistic" tone. When you've got a guy in red and blue spandex, swinging from building to building, you're not allowed to claim realism.

The Cap is a US super soldier from WW2 that was sent on special missions into Germany. In one mission he fell into a river that was blocked by a Nazi controlled dam and was frozen. He woke up after like 30 years and not knowing what to do he tried being a hero.

It used to be you read DC when you were a little kid and then started reading Marvel when you got older. Now with the Vertigo branch of DC it’s the other way around.

True in most polls Marvel wins over DC for the fact that Marvel with all the movies out have pulled in more readers and have more familiar super heroes.

Name 10 Marvel Heroes and then try to name 10 DC.

I still love DC more though.

I don't know much about DC, but I'm pretty sure you've got that list wrong. I'm sure DC heroes get a lot more complex and powerful than your list.

As for Marvel, you're way off. Seriously, Beast? Deadpool? They're neat characters, but in an ultimate showdown between Marvel and DC, they'd get their asses kicked. You're missing Black Bolt, Iron Man, The Sentry, Doctor Strange, etc.
