PSP vs. Nintendo DS

look. about PSP .VS. OTHER CONSOLES psp is portable and it have a good grafik and it have new games and it blah blah blah.

about PSP .VS. DS . psp is beter beacous DS is little. sony consoles are always better. all of good and fames games comes to PSP too whit a good grafik but DS hase some spetial games like YU-GI-OH!. look I am a big fan of thinking games but fir now I rather PSP. so now one that doesnt have both of them talk about them. GOT IT. kiding. but PSP is the best.

Because, Ratchet Size Matters, Daxter, Crisis Core, Patapon, Loco Roco, Grand Theft Auto Liberty City/Vice City Stories, God of War: Chains of Olympus, and Monster Hunter Freedom 2 all suck ass, amirite?

The DS isn't a bad hand held but it just looks like crap next to the PSP. I love Nintendo but Sony just did the better job.

its fair to say that they both have their pros and cons

but my sister owns and ds, and i want to steal it from her! i end up buying clothes with all money, but she went and bought that, and i was really jealous.

my cuz has a psp, and when we went to visit him, he let us watch family guy on it. It lasted for 6 episodes, then died. Sure, dvds and internet are cool, but as far as gaming goes, my vote is for the ds. it lets you be active in the game, letting you move the "retard" stylus to do stuff. very creative, and it rocks.

although there are some good games for psp! i refuse to hate on either of them

You must have missed the part where I was kidding, and that a few posts later in the thread I said there were plenty of good games for the PSP, just no the ones he listed, and most of them happening to be on the PS2.

What, should I bring up the multiple weeks in which the DS was 75% of the sales in Japan? Yes, Monster Hunter Freedom 2 made the PSP sell well

i only played rockman, monster hunter freedom 2 and Crisis Core FFVII on PSP
and i played more than 25 games on DS
but i still say they're equally great because of the PSP graphics and crisis core

In overall the DS is probably equal to the PSP. One console doesnt have enough to out-do the other. But in my personal taste, the PSP is much better. Main reason is because the DS just frustrates me. My fingers cramp, touchscreen devices have always ticked me off, and it doesnt have the kind of games that I would play at home, on my PS2.

Another thing I happen to like about PSP slim is the ability to transfer the picture to TV. This is actually very useful when staying at a holiday lodge or something. At night, if my friend has a PSP Slim, she could just connect it to the TV, and I put Tekken DR into my old version PSP and game share it wirelessly. We can both play using our own PSPs but getting the picture on TV. Rather than bringing the PS2, mem card, and controllers along.

This is just my personal opinion (kind of like how everyone else gave their opinion) and its just one reason why I like the PSP more, but believe me, when you compare PSP to DS, it will NEVER be one-sided because of the different types of games on each console.

They're both independent products from one another each trying to do their own thing, so to say that one is better then the other overall isn't true, because each is doing something the other doesn't bother to do. Apples, oranges.

Listen I have both and I personnally Like the PSP better because I'm more of an "All around Media Buyer"
But come on people this argument is stupid we are comparing Apples to Bananas here. Some people like Apples some people like Bananas both have ups and downs (shut up I know its a dumb comparassin). The DS has things that are better than the PSP (A lot of great games, better Wi Fi, Different Gameplay) while the PSP has things better than DS (Graphics, All the Media, Computer and PSP compatability {I Personally like the Torrents I add to mine :-P})
So arguing like this is pointless because no one will ever win, giving useless statistics will never yeild wich is better just what is more popular.....thats my 2 cents with all this

I have both handhelds, and while I love PSP more, I don't think I'd get rid of my DS anytime soon.

Play Advance Wars Days of Ruin, trust me, that game will make up for the scratched screen. And its further proof that the NA rating system is seriously messed up, after like the first 10 missions, they start talking about blood, murder, death, and will begin swearing like 10 times each in every single mission, and in the cutsceen things, characters who peacefully surrendered are killed in cold blooded murder. And its only rated E10+.

I'M FINALLY GETTING THAT GAME TODAY. I'll probably stay locked up in my room for a very, very long time.

I absolutely adore my PSP for all it has to offer, though I have yet to get a DS to really say anything on the matter. But I'll definately have to agree that the range of games is drastically more varied than for the PSP.
