| A FAWKING KEY-TRIKE? STOOPID IDEA!! | Well I haven't had much experience writing solo fics with an overall story for years now, yet with my experiences in the Roleplaying with Rose, working with Mina and Xziled with our own collobration, and reading some of Audo's and SA's one shots, I decided to bring up my own collection of one shots, all in AU setting. In the future, I may write a new, independent story either as fanfiction or original. My one shots are somewhat dark :D |

As for the problem you have at hand, try some methods of linking the stories you have written into each other. I used to have the same problem with creating new stories when I would be writing and focusing on one. A method I used to reduce the writing load was to merge stories together or find similarities in the ideas I have. This helps with the stress of maintaining so many stories in one go. Another way could be to write everything you have thought about the idea pre-existing and new. This can help with your thinking process but exhausts the idea. After you have exhausted the idea, find anything that comes similar with stories that have been published or written. This can let you see what sort of writing and style of ideas they had. This is linked to the first method/hint that try researching the ideas rather than just trying to "write by feeling/emotion". If you feel like you just want to talk about writing overall in general, PM and I'll reply very quickly or you can just add me to MSN and I'll help anyway possible. I've had my experience in writing so I understand the problem you have at hand.

| For the deeds of today resonate.... | I have somewhat the same problem, with having many stories. I find that it works for me if I merely think up ideas and then write down the idea in a notebook for future reference, instead of immediately start writing it. I try to only work on about two to three stories at one time. Then, once it's in my notebook, I refrain from writing anything, and merely plan and make notes on the idea. Most of the time, I'll come back to the notebook and decide that I don't really like the ideas that I had before, or that they just won't work in any case. |

| ⎳ΣGΣNDΛRΨ | I said that I'd participate in this at some point, right? Well, I'm pretty much the opposite to L.L. I've got four books, an entire planet and near-universal history, knowledge of all character's pasts, abilities, weapons, everything. And not a word of it written down and very few rough drawings. |

I do. It wakes me up when I write. Not too many noises at night either. I'm working on a story right now, it's my first one related to KH[it has some fanmade characters]. It's kinda bad so far, but it'll improve hopefully

| Cozza Frenzy | I've been on a major writing block as of late. I've been trying to work on a new story, and finish old ones, but I can't think of anything. Any advice? |

| Now comes with 50% more bullshit | When I have writers block, I usually go for walks and just daydream about my characters being in different situations (Sometimes they don't have anything to do with the story itself) It usually helps me get rid of my writers block. Other times I just rewatch an old anime/manga/movie/whatever that I liked and sometimes ideas from them help get me thinking about me own ideas. |

| Rion is blindfolded kinkyness | What I do to get rid of my writer's block is listen to music befitting the mood of my story or it's characters (sort of like I'm looking for their theme song-ish), it helps me sooooooooo much. |

| A crazy sugared high idiot XD | i've just now realized that this was here... sitting in the corner of the forums... which reminds me of Kh for some reasons, as each thread is its own little world.... odd... X_X, oh well. ^^ anyyyyway... i have two stories i'm working on... and i don't quite know how to get them along... one's on hold cause the heroes keep pushing through each challenge with little or no effort... and i'm not quite sure how that's happening and the other is in the thought process, and can't think of a good plot... if anyone would care to help, let me know. i'm be very grateful! and in return, with my obbball mind, i'll try to help out in some way too... if at all possible.... now why does my eariler sentance want to force me to make a story? why???? *cries anguishly into the air* |

| -HAPPY FUN TIME- | So, i'm bored and want to write something but have no idea what. I kind of want to write something that is more dark in nature because i have been caught up in trying to change my writing ways and write lighter (and failing) so i just want to submit and go back to writing dark things. So, does anyone have a dark-natured prompt i could write about? |

| Sidekick | I have thought about the pasts of most characters in some certain anime or games and to be honest, they have it pretty rough especially if their families had either been killed, had betrayed by "friends", done something horrible in the past or just have low self esteem. These characters have often become better people overtime but what about the normal characters who never had it rough? I know that it is fiction and not everyone with a 'past' behaves this way but still I cannot say the same for normal characters who had it 'easy' and have no 'right' to complain. How can a normal character respond to this? How can a normal character even compare to this? I guess I myself can be characterize as the 'rich kid who gets everything' but does a character need to be in a rough environment to be melacholic, stoic or dare I say it 'emo'? Can there be a character who simply desires to be a 'hero'? Man, it just seems like 'normal' characters can even compare to those who are 'special' and real life is lot more complex than fiction but I am wrong in this assumption? |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() ![]() Currently playing: ACII, MW2, U2, BB, Riviera, Yggdra Union, Braid Level: 15 EXP: | Here's the thing: "Normal" isn't interesting. People read something because it is interesting and captures their attention. Characters with problems are good characters because of those problems. People relate to characters that aren't prefect. Relatable characters make for an interesting read (as well as the rest of the plot). If a character has no problems, then not only do people generally not like reading about them, but they don't really have any realistic incentive to do anything, which makes for a ho-hum plot. Now, the "extreme" problems that you see a lot are a result of the general trend of tragic characters and anti-heroes. They are basically the "in" thing. Either the character is a tragic hero who wants to be recognized, or an anti-hero with a grudge and a means to see it through. |
