...Might as well post a query on here, though. Would anybody be interested in a horror story? ...A Kingdom Hearts horror story? Just out of curiosity. I'm trying to figure out if I should tone down the horror or not in my story 'cause people might not like to read about that sort of stuff. [though, truthfully, there's not that much...]

| Cozza Frenzy | Gah! I'm stuck on writers block for Shattered Regrets again. What's an easy way to get unstuck from writer's bliock? |

1. Clear your mind of all outside annoyances. TV, media, music, people, whatever. 2. Think about describing something. Doesn't matter what it is, just describe something in detail in your head. 3. Plug this thing you're describing into your story. Right where you're stuck. Just throw it in there. But all in your head, no writing. 4. See how your character's react. See what this item does in the scenario. This should get you thinking about what they're going to do. 5. Now, take the item back from the scenario and play over in your head what they're doing without it. 6. Write. It sounds hella confusing, but it seems to work for me.

Anyway, I would take Jake H's advice and not mention also try and get out and or if you wanted to write something that inspires you around the outside world, write that down and maybe something will pop into your head later. I had that happen and my Creative Writing teacher says I should at least try and go out and learn more about things and or take a break from writing for awhile, as well so that can help. Hope this works for you as well. Good luck! |

| Dual Wielder | I have found a FORM of cure for writers block. Don't read your own story, often enough, that makes it worse. Go for a walk, have a cup of soothig tea, read a good book, and relax. Take your mind off of things. Also, if said book has fight scenes, and you have problems with it, take notes. Look at how the author writes their fight scenes, and break it down into simple actions. Also writing in a scriptlike form helps me. |

| Ouvrez Votre Esprit | Any writers here get 'Writers Depression'? That's not what it's actually called, but I find it fitting. It's just where you really want to write something, but it seems like it'll be pointless to do so. Puts you in a viscous circle. I get it all too often. |

Does anybody else know or have an idea on how to get out of it? EDIT: I also have writer's depression...too...it stinks. D: Last edited by Danica Syer; August 15th, 2008 at 08:10 PM. |

I'm writing a current fan-fic right now and there are a lot of ideas I want to put into just one single chapter but I feel as if it'll just make it boring and whatnot. When I finish a chapter though, it feels like it was cut short when I don't put in all the things I wanted.

| Cozza Frenzy | I've had this "Writer's Depression" many times. I actually gave up on 2 stories completely because of this. |
