I saw someone do this on an art site and I thought it was pretty nifty. This person cut out a character they drew, but drew them a certain way so that they could interact with the artist. For example; tugging on the drawing's shirt.
So, I decided to try it myself:

Wow, Cait, that's really interesting!

I love it, it's great work <3

Can't think of anything wrong with it... colours could be a bit more lively, but that's minor. Also, the top of her legs could be a bit more spaced out ;)

Dee: As always, thank you for the awesome comment. :3 <3 The colors look different from how they appear in my scan and pictures. I had to adjust some things on the scanner to make the details appear so the colors sorta faded with it. @.@'

Adorable, I love how it looks like as though you really are picking her up, I did a double take at first, I wasn't sure if you had photoshopped or not until I looked at the others. =P I must know, do you have a url for this art site? This is so cute, you should do more.

Someone has been looking at ~justflyakite's work on deviantart, I see.

Can't say much for the drawing, it's very simple and cartoonish.

^I saw that. His piece with the DinoSaurs. o-o He doesn't do it often, most of his are Randy and Nigel and DinoSaus comics. o-o

Anyways, I think, for a first try, simple's really good. Gives you a few for what you should try for next time.
