lol kinda hard to whip a color one in just fifteen mins.. (that's how much time I sketch a character)

Jukebox: You could try spending more time, or taking the time to color.

Either way, I really like the Jane one. I can't believe you guys get to do a study on hair. We did a few studies on the face. Art's been a little....well, I don't really like this year, to say the least. <-< Anyways, we had to draw with pen for the faces. o_o Agreed, pen's harder because you have to get used to not erasing, but it's very good practice though.

The others are very nice as well, you could try shading them though. As for coloring, you don't have to use PS. I personally use colored pencils as my prefered medium. Not to mention, the art's easier to show off then, you wouldn't have to print it off the cpu and then mat it and stuff. Or use copic markers, though I've never used them before, but I know a few dA artists that use them as their main medium.

mmm Maybe I should Mkays... I'll try to shade more often..
I don't usually do it cuz I do a lot of quick sketches, only to find them very ugly(by my own standards) and I'm usually not statisfied lol

Unless I do something extroadinary like the Jane pic, then I start to get serious at it.

And... >.> To not waste too much paper I tend to draw ontop of other drawings... Since I just sketch most of the time anyways xD

Thanks for comments, but I think I'm not the best xD Everybody has their own drawing style and different people like different styles ^_^ b

Hm, I'm noticing that when you spend more time on drawing the picture, it turns out more detailed and life-like. It's alright, spending short bursts of time sketching, to be honest, a lot of my doodles in my notes for my classes are short bursts with pen or pencil (or highlighter O-o). And your art is good even when just done in a few minutes, but I personally like the ones that seem to have more time spent on them.

Well I originally designed this for the boxart contest, but it was so messy that I couldn't scan it right... tried makin it cleaner but didn't work... so I retraced everything with a pen, and left out some designs...

granted I was frustrated so I didn't draw a whole lot of details orz

Work on your details, and try to move away from the huge eyed anime style.
