Finding the perfect style

[Siryu]

Most of these are over the Summer works and they're not perfect, but I was trying to figure out what art style I love and will use for a very long time.

I tried the cartoony style..like Cliford the Big Red Dog.

Then I tried for a more softer and suttle aproach and for the rest of the pictures the faces become different as well as the eyes.

...this was all thanks to Yu-Gi-Oh...of course it was still over the Summer, but I wanted to get a more punk rock like look as what I see in Yu-Gi-oh (No, not the wannabe sucky one, the original one)

Then this was also inspired from Loveless, but I tried keeping to a different style. I don't really like it, but only the purple highlights in his hair.

I was just messing around with this one and I was trying to figure out drawing a chibi character without it being cliche' I suppose. XD Cliche' is not great in my book.The eyes are still king of punk-rockish/goth. And Yes it is Cloud.



This is not a original character. It's actually from a manga called Off*Beat from Jen Lee Quick. Despite, it being similar to their style. I decided on changing the eyes and the whole face altogether, but kept his trademark freckles and hair.




All of these were done with markers...LOL! Yes, the coloring sucks, but I was not really focusing on that.

They're good, yeah, but I don't like markers ^^;;
It's not a problem, but they don't look too neat, ya know what I'm sayin'? Try pencil crayons, or paints
