Romance Cover

Uh, yeah sorry for the bad thread title(couldnt think of what to call the thread) anyway, now that I'm starting to get done with the basic stuff with my tutorials, I'm moving on to making manga, romance, then fighting. I'm doing making manga first but I wanted to start on my romance cover first for some reason. This is my first kissing picture so it might not be the best.

Oh I wasnt sure if I had to put a warning on kissing, but yeah this is a kissing picture.

about 4hrs. and 30 minutes

sketchings-1hr and 30 minutes
inking-30 minutes
colouring-2hrs and 30 minutes

yup, I have a dA ^_^ Thankies for the comment I like the colouring (is a sucker for romance too. haha)

The colouring doesn't emphasise the shadowing on the clothes and hair and thus leaves the picture feeling 2-d.

The problem with the dimensions is that you've created a 3-d feel to some of it but due to the lack of shadowing it looks like two seperate pieces of paper overlapped instead of a man and a woman entwined.

Wow.

The first thing I thought was "Ouch!"

It's a little off, proportion-wise, and the pose is extremely akward - at least, at first glance. Maybe I didn't look close enough.

Good concept, I guess, but I'm not a romance type.
