First picture colored in OC [Open Canvas]

Well, I tried. This is my first time using Open Canvas...or any type of computer software for that matter. I warn you...I can't color no matter what I do. CLICK IF YOU DARE:

The colors are plain and dull, the highlights need to be eaten, and I need to be slapped.

If anyone comments, "OMG...THAT SUCKS." No, just, no. Please don't. x_x; And if you do, tell me why it does and give advice. Or, I'll be forced to nibble on your arm...It's my first time...go easy.

So, C&C please.

i like the lighting and shades on the colors, although on the face theres too much. 7/10

Learn some tutorials before using OC. It's a really complex program that's a bit harder to understand than PS. Go search dA for some tuts. They give some nice ones there.

Not liking this much. There's shading on the face, but none in the hair. Hair isn't composed of base colour and highlights. It has it's own shadow (according to anime) as well.

Learn how to use the options a bit more before attempting. You'll get better results if you at least know what the majority of the options do.

The soft colouring looks nice, and the simplicity gives it a nice effect ^-^ Good job!
