YAY FOR MUSIC 8D I keep on trying to write some music, though all I get is WIPs... Phooey. :[ Still, going to post them nonetheless. Maybe feedback'll get me to finish them? I dunnooooo xD;

Untitled (might be 'Mystics Solitude') - This sounds terrible (because of the instrument quality, I guess? xD; midis are great, buuuuut...) in Finale, but IT SOUNDS SO KEWL IN GARAGEBAND <3 This is supposed to be something along the lines of 'twisted solitude'. It's all calm, yadayadayada... and it gets all dark. And creepy. And TWISTED. :D There's more to it, but I haven't saved it as a mp3 yet xD;

Untitled (might be 'Rena') - Once again, terrible in Finale but sounds awesome in Garageband. YAAAAY 8D This is supposed to be the theme of one of my characters of my... fanfic. Yeah, fanfic. Facepalm ensues. I dunno if it'll end up being her theme, though, since the later stuff (that's not in the preview) doesn't sound very fitting for her. :\

As for those KH arrangements, I'm working on a version of a song for a contest, so I'm going to post that after the deadline for entry passes. xD; I'm also going to write a version of Dearly Beloved annnnd Ven's theme, which will sound similiar to Roxas' theme so that's an arrangement too :O

On "Mystics Solitude"- baw, try to get some more rhythms besides just quarter notes and eight notes and stuff, if you change the rhythm of the base line, it could probably make the song sound more, idk, more complex? and probably a bit better. plus you can get what you want to get from your mind to the paper/program/w.e. i personally don't like this arrg. that much since A, no cool rhythm/beat, and B, it seems like you're like, half a step down from having the same keys in both the melody and base. which is bad, unless you decide to change your notes to sharps and flats and shit to get that "mysterious" feel as you call it.
hmm...i think it'd be nice if you added some dynamics, and some rubato here and there.
instead of having the same notes just go back and forward, try some arpeggios. that way the song sounds more like, well, a complex[read:normal] song.
mehhh, maybe an undertone? like, play a certain note for the whole measures/stances/the whole song maybe in the background to give the song more tone and sound.

On "Rena"- nice xion ripp here. heh im kidding. well, at least it has more different rhythms. but if your base part is going to be well, your base, and if it's going to be the part marking the tempo, then make sure you're not holding some notes for too long because you're doing soemthing else in the treble part. also, the ending could use some work. try two octives maybe? there's so much you can do with music, so much more then just have several 8th notes do a small arpeggio as the ENDING of a song. well i think you said that you weren't finished w/ that song/theme so yeeeahh. id say seperate the ending, into like, parts of it base, then have a different part for treble, like, resonating. duet. idk. just, even if it's like a "solo" [only way i can describe it i guess], you should have some sorta of base undertone to give more sound and tone to your[soloish part/lone] part,

overall i think you should for sure try to learn to make/add undertones/long whole notes/slurred to your stuff, it can add so much more sound, like a lot. it makes the songs seem less empty and less "midi"ish, too.

well, im saying this all as if you where playing, but i think you where just using the programs, right? rgg w/ee..

it's just that they all seem the samee sorta, how, it's like, random notes almost.

except "rena" seems to have a theme, well, at the beginning, but then it's like it disappeared, while you could have made many variations with it.
