| Border of Life | Ha! Yeah, I know. I really do know I need to try to make something of my own, but I really don't have much of a clue on where to start. I think I tried some original stuff before, but it rarely turned out well. I guess I'm just trying to get even the slightest bit of experience with drawing basics doing what I am now, but I don't know if that will do much. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Hopefully I'd be able to put them to use. Last edited by KH Vandread; 06/01/08 at 05:12 AM. |

| Bang! | Your stuff is really good, and this is very good for practice and experience. Quote:
As for drawing original characters or scenery, start by putting something different on a person, such as hair, or clothing, then you're getting the feel of making something new. Is there a certain anime you like? Or a show or game? This is how most of my originals started were as, sadly, "Mary Sues" or something like that for a show. You don't have to tell someone they're your Mary Sue (what's the guy? Johnny Doe?) for a show. You could also join some roleplays. Then you get to create an original character, and then tada! Draw it. You don't have to do complicated poses or anything when drawing original characters, just work on developing them by their clothing. Then, when familiar with how they look and act, then you could start doing the more interesting poses because you'll know what the person looks like. Make sense? | |
