Hiya people, this is my first Thread & for posting my so-called "Art." I am only 12 years-old so don't expect something like OMG! So I really hope you enjoy it. I'm going to work extremely hard over the summer and hope to improve. I also aim to be really good at a young age. I started in like 3rd or 4th Grade. The artist that really has interested me is xDplushie.

xD I hope to save up for Adobe Photoshop SC3. Lol that'll be awhile..I know I suck just please check them out. I really want to here people's opinions on this. People kind of make fun of mine while others say I'm great. I have low confidence. But please give me your honest opinion. Enjoy!

Kid, i hate to tell you, but im just not seeing it in these pictures. You remind me of the many people that are slightly beter than average just because they try hard and like it. Im probably being a bit to hard on you here, but i kinda have high standards because im a really good artist. back in my younger days i had low confidence like you do so i always critized everyone to make myself feel beter. looking at your artwork however and i think that you have a long way to go. Try learning some techniques from top artists like Tetsuya Nomura and keep on improving. They way that i improved was by coping directly off of my favorite pictures like the ones in Naruto and Final Fantasy. Then i would eventually get good enough at the basic techniques till i could do it on my own and make my own art. you can also see in your art the your really trying hard on the eyes and your lips are also turning up big and awkward. dont make them so huge and pointy and dark. Look at a human face, the lips arent what usually pop out at you because there lighter. Try to develop the whole face instead of just certain parts. Art is easy if you know how to practice right, and you got plenty of time to develop your skills. Try other forms of art to and dont give up.

Hope this was helpful and it didnt hurt your feelings to much cause i know what low confidence feels like

They are not bad but not the best. I would take the pointer from whtballerking13 there and improve upon those areas. Keep at it though yeah, dont give up, you will definetly get better, ^.~

Lol, thanks I needed that. I know the lips I need to improve. For some reason I got to excited for drawing that I rushed on all of them. If I'm doing serious pictures I take my time, though.

It didn't hurt my feelings, and please don't treat me like a kid. I need to learn to take these comments because I know I'm going to get more harsher comments. Although, that wasn't harsh.

If I didn't except them, then that would be my fault for even posting this Thread. So I'm perfectly fine and repect both comments.

I need to hear people's comments and that's why I posted this. Thank you, and I hope for more comments. ^_^

That is the WORST thing you could possibly do to improve.
The best thing for you to do is to go out and buy books on anatomy. Move away from anime and cartoons, try for realism. Once you get a basic idea of proportions and anatomy you'll be so much better.

Sparkle Motion, I don't agree with it either. I want to do realism, not Anime and Manga style. All I do is like look at refrences pictures to help me draw my picture. So I agree with you Sparkle Motion, thanks ^_^

Meh, I started out drawing anime and shit, but yeah, I agree with Sparkle, etc. Don't rely on anime for anatomy or anything, really. Learn anatomy, realism, etc; then if want to, form your own anime style.

Exactly.

I was never a big fan of realism, so I wasn't able to do what Motion suggested, but instead I studied semi-realism. It's those kinds of works you see that have anime qualities in them, but aren't shitty and flat.

It's okay. One thing that is messed up, though, are the lips. The lips are very.... strange.

Other than that, it is okay. With some improvements, it could obviously be better.
