So, yeah, I looked, but I didn't see a thread (and I can't search "V"). Here's to hoping it hasn't been made yet!

Anyway, V (short for Visitors) is about a group of aliens that come to Earth. They offer peace and technology in exchange for supplies for their homeworld. However, all is not well, as it seems. They seem to have some ulterior world-destruction motive that they've been planning for years. They even had aliens masquerading as humans long before they actually arrived. Fortunately, as would be expected, there are traitors to the Vs that aid the rebel faction in resistance while the enemy gathers a bunch of devoted, human followers.

Seems kinda typical, I know; but based on the first episode, it's starting off fairly well. The aliens give off that "too good to be true/mysterious" feel (and it's obvious why by the end of the episode). You are introduced to characters on both sides of the story, and certain parts are made to be pretty interesting. It'll take a few more episodes to see how well the quality stays, but it's off to a good start.

The only thing that I wish they did differently is that they "aliens are evil" reveal was a bit too early. I would have liked the "good alien" masquerade to continue throughout the first episode (with subtle contrary hints peppered about) and have the reveal sometime during the second episode.

Original was better. Not terrible job modernizing it, though.

Hope ABC doesn't screw it up too early. Although it's already going hella fast. Boom, aliens. Boom, resistance. They're really rushing it.

SyFy had a marathon of the original last week I think it was. The new version from the commercials just doesnt seem to catch my attention so I probably wont watch this show at all. As with most abc television shows.
