Yeah, I recorded it on my DVR but I haven't been able to watch it yet. I've always liked the Stargate series. Especially SG-1.

This one takes a new interesting twist. Unfortunately one similar to an obnoxiously bad show on DisneyXD known as Aaron Stone.

But I shall watch it regardless. Hopefully it will be as good as its predecessors.

Haha, don't worry it's nothing really like Aaron Stone. I just said that because it does use a similar concept for one of the main characters. The SG program decided to put an ancient mathematical problem inside an online video game and the guy who solved it was chosen by the SG program to help them open a new gate.

In Aaron Stone it was a secret organization that put out a video game to find the best player to help them stop rouge operations. So it's similar but SG-U is WAAAY better. I liked the season premier "Air" episode. I didn't get to watch yesterday's continuation of "Air" yet but I DVRed that one too =p

Oh my god, i didnt know if there was going to be a solution. I was mulling it over in my head to find a solution but the ship found one for me. The Destiny runs on solar energy to the literal point. They fly through a freaking star, like OH MY GOD.

I had a feeling from last week's episode that was what was going to happen. I mean they couldn't just kill off all the main characters after a few weeks of the show lol.

So I figured the ship ran on solar energy. I was just waiting for it to happen. I did find myself for a moment when they were entering the star and still everyone was thinking they were about to die, thinking, "Oh crap, maybe they are all going to die."

But then I saw the look on Dr. Rush's face and I was like, okay here's the solution back on track, solar powered ship it was just going down to get some energy.

I just didn't expect it to actually enter into the star.

I like how the series is going so far. It keeps a realistic perspective on things. So the bridge between the believable and unbelievable isn't very wide. Of course it's fake, there's no ships flying around in space or gates that transport you through time and space. It's just not so much into the sci-Fi roots that SG series have had. No aliens or strange races to fight - yet. I suspect that next week's episode may change that. The preview was talking about something along the lines of "creatures" everywhere. But for now I like how it's keeping a character development approach to the series without all the WAAAAY out there over the top science fiction elements.

I missed the solution, but Oh my god. I knew there was bound to be some solar-based energy system to Destiny somewhere. It would've been way out there if one of the most advanced ships in the universe didn't have something so simple as solar power when fuel's running out. It just didn't come to mind that Rush would drive the ship right through a star ._. Seemed too awesome in my head >>
