Default Iron Man: Armored Adventures

Someone please tell me: what the heck? Has anyone else seen this crap?

Iron Man: Armored Adventures on nick toons. Now I'm not a HUGE Iron Man fan and I don't claim to know everything about the comic. But I'm pretty sure Tony Stark was not a 16 year old high school kid flying around in an armored suit.

When I first saw the ads for the show, the animation already had me kind of worried. I wouldn't have minded the animation if it was like the one that was used in the The Invincible Iron Man animated movie. I think this is possibly the farthest Marvel has deviated from story lines with it's animated series (oh and that piece of crap The Avengers from the 90s). At least they GENERALLY stay somewhat along the lines of the mainstream comics. Now this may be just me, but has anyone else seen this show? What are your thoughts about it?

I think the animation is beautiful and is probably the high point of the show. The animation in Invincible Iron Man was pretty low-grade, and boring.

Sure, a 16 year old kid developing a high tech suit of armour is a stretch of the imagination, but so is a 40 year old man doing the same thing. Of course the age differance means there has to be a differant spin on the character, but that's exactly what this is. Telling the same story, differantly. And it's a kids show. It's fun. Get over it.

I need to see more of it.

It just feels weird to me. It's like watching batman as a teenager to me. That just wouldn't feel right. I see how they can make that transitions with other stories, but the elements of Tony Stark's personality as an adult can not be there in a teenager and that's half of what makes Iron Man, Iron Man. I know it's a kids show but come on. Just my opinion anyway. At least the new Black Panther series looks promising.
