Finally Jack shows the human side of himself. I expected him to not keep his word and let that guy die. I guess he had to jeopardy the mission so the terrorists can escape and leave with the bioweapon.

no one did. There's going to be at least an eighth season. Jon Cassar said Jack Bauer won't die so they can pave the way to a featured film.
