| Organization Member | Why would you get 10 of them if you had a track record like that? Why would you even get the third? I mean, yeah once could just be a faulty unit, but the second time should suggest a consistent problem. Of course, if you didn't have to pay for them then I guess you've got an excuse. |

| Sentry Goin' up | Thanks everyone, don't spam. My apologies to the mac users, but I'm more than likely going to get a windows based laptop, simply because I'm probably never going to use the Mac OS and I don't want to buy two OSs when I Only have to buy one. Right now, Kubota [Altair] Has the best suggestion. If anyone else could suggest a good gaming laptop [Under $1500 please, no building] I would love to here them. NOTE: Due to obvious reasons, I'm closing this thread on the 23rd. Please submit all your suggestions (if any) a couple days before. |

| Pederast | I hardly agree with your laptop logic ("I travel a little, so I want a laptop for games that are only fun online." Your space problem is a non-issue.), which is why I've refrained from advising, but Altair suggestion is flat out terrible. The $1000 price tag at Alien is bare minimum specs. Upgrading them to play the newest games (which are the ones you want), makes the price skyrocket to $2,400. These are what you want. Assuming same specs as Alienware, these average $1250. You can choose any of them, it doesn't matter much. Although, AMD and Intel Core 2 Duo processors are somewhat out of your price range. Out of the Intel Centrino Duo, I'd suggest CZ-7 Ultra [2]. Click "More Info" and you'll want to customize it a little. I suggest you click the following: Free Software/Game √[Free] iBUYPOWER T-Shirt with Archlord Game Graphic on Back --- $19.99 value [+ $0] √Free Game - [Lost Planet: Extreme Condition] must purchase with Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile Processor based system [+ $0] Mouse Get one. Doesn't have to be from that list. Operation System Personally, I would not go with Vista, because it is still uncertain how compatible the games you want will be with it. Playing games on Vista sometimes requires additional memory, whereas XP does not. You can leave everything else at default, unless you want something on that Software, Accessories section. Also, since you're already paying over $1000, *5% Instant Rebate: Purchase of any iBUYPOWER desktop/notebook computer over $999 per system, must enter coupon code "iBUYPOWER" during checkout. Mine came out to $1,190 in NY, but if you live in CA, you'll be paying tax. Last edited by square-enix; 11-18-2007 at 06:55 PM. |
