| Pederast | Place to Buy Computer Parts and Etc http://www.fatwallet.com/ (forums>hot deals http://www.fatwallet.com/c/18/) http://www.slickdeals.net/ The aforementioned sites are collections of rebates that others find and post daily. For computer products, people mainly post hard drives (internal & external), flash drives, notebooks and mouses. If you don't mind the hassle of rebates, you can usually find 2GB flash drives or hard drives for free or at a fraction of the original price. |

| EVIL NETWORK OVERLORD | I figured I'd through a quickie back out.. Its been on the list forever, but really do look at portableapps. PortableApps.com - Portable software for USB drives | Your Digital Life, Anywhereâ„¢ Just install the main application to a file, then just download the other applications you wish to use, and install them to the same location. (Most of them will detect the correct drive.) Be sure to use a portable drive, such as a usb thumbdrive. I like the following portable apps: FireFox! (Yes, you can have firefox with you wherever!) ClamWin (Free, antivirus.. doesn't need to be installed locally to run.) OpenOffice (Incase there isn't MS Office available to you.) VLC (I can listen to music/watch any videos on my drives! Awesome.) Notepad++ (Handy software for the software developers on the go.) 7-Zip (Portable compression/decompression.. need I say more?) InfraRecorder (Portable CD and DVD burning software!) winMD5sum (Portable MD5 checksum analyzer.) I use all of those applications and more. The best part? All of those programs are Free and Open Source. On a side note, FireFox won't save your browsing history to the local machine, but it saves to the portable drive. So encrypt your data. I wanted to list them, since I don't know if many may be aware of them. Especially the portable firefox and vlc apps. Who wouldn't rather be watching a movie or video during a boring computer class?!? ~~Azurith |
