Does steaming contribute to your total downloads?

Say I watch a 1 GB movie, will it count as 1GB download?

If so, I've been telling alot of people it's free, because I thought it was :O lol. And another reason is, I'm not at home and the internet I'm using is limited to 5GB's, I haven't downloaded hardly anything and I checked the limit and it said that I had used about 1.5GB's of downloads.....??

If it does, it applies for youtube as well, right?

Well of course it will. You need to download the data in order to view it. Otherwise, how would you see it?

ha, I thought so. But then, what's the point....why not download the thing and watch it whenever you want :O

I guess it's just....you don't have to wait. Watch it there and then.

Well, technically you do download it and store it temporarily, but after a while it gets deleted when it expires. Some people only watch videos once, so there's not much point of saving it then.

Oh, so that's how it works because, I know I can find that file and convert it into an .avi/.wmv file. Search time! My download limit will not die in vain!
