mine has this weird + next to it, and on the toolbar has a tab icon which you click on and opens a new tab.....

Oh wow, jumping to conclusions and huge irony. You couldn't possibly know if I have the new or old version of tabs. I have the most recent version, but I don't use the default skin. There's supposed to be a plus next to it so you can add a new tab.

i know that, im talking about the toolbar where the search engine is. next to that, and next to the page's desired icon, is this other tab button, which is next to the home button, which is next to the stop button, and the refresh button, and the back and forward buttons!
