Rep Power: 8 ![]() Level: 32 EXP: | If you know me, you'll know I'm a frugal guy while not skimping on quality. I like to get more bang for less bucks and I have no problem patiently waiting for it either. Right now I have been looking for a new HD television. I have been looking around for a few months actually and I have come across quite a few good deals. My point of making this thread is so you can help me. What I'm looking for is a flat panel HD LCD TV. 1080p. Between 32" and 47" (it's just for my room). My budget is $800. I am willing to go a little over but I would rather not. Before you scoff and say I won't find a good 1080p LCD for those prices, I'll tell you, I can and will. I don't mind if it's even a refurbished television, as long as it's from a trustworthy retailer. Another important thing is durability. I would rather have a tv that has a long track record with reliability and customer satisfaction. Specs that I'm looking for: Aspect ratio- 16:9 STATIC (not dynamic) Constrast Ratio- Nothing less than 6,000:1 Audio - I don't really care Inputs - At least one of each of these: Antenna PC Composite HDMI In Component, VGA Refresh Rate- I would love something around 120Hz. If it's less, I'll still consider it (60Hz isn't so bad). Response Time- 6.5ms or less Bit Color- The more the merrier Viewing Angle- 150 degrees or more. Well that's all I can think of as for specs. If you know of anything out there, help me out or if you have any suggestions on what to get or even better specs than I have posted, by all means post your thoughts. Thanks. (oh and nothing off of ebay please lol) Last edited by Forever Atlas; August 27th, 2009 at 05:05 AM. Reason: title change |

And I may not find a TV with the specs that I want on that day either. If I do and I haven't found one before, then all the better. | |
