Default Vegas Pro 9

Ok, I need some help. I downloaded the free Vegas Pro 9 trial to make some AMVs, but whenever I tried it, the program would freeze. I only made one AMV and I'm lucky I even got that one done. I don't know what its problem is. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. I even cleared some space on my computer, and I still can't figure it out. I never had this problem when I had the Vegas Pro 8 Trial.

Can anybody give me some advice, or suggest another Movie Making Software with the same features as Vegas?

Hmm....I myself own both Sony Vegas Platinum and Windows Movie Maker (though I haven't touched the latter in years) and have experienced similar issues with both, which I believe is merely due to the fact that it takes so much effort on the computer's part to run these movie-making softwares. Could you tell me how long the program will run properly before freezing, exactly?

I heard Adobe Premiere Pro or whatever it's called is pretty good, and it's better than Vegas, but I myself never used it before, so I'm not so sure. I just use Sony Vegas 8 Pro or WMM, I'm fine with both of those :]

Well, I tried making one AMV, turned the computer off to go to sleep, come back in the morning, open the project and it'd freeze off the bat. I barely even put any media on the timeline. Then I worled on a new AMV and I finished it in a day cause I didn't want it to freeze, so I thought the key was to do it in one day. While I was working on a new one today, it would just freeze while I imported the media. I don't know what's up with it. Maybe it was the amount of videos I was using?

Don't get me started on WMM. That thing is even worse.

I'll try out that Adobe Premiere Pro thing, Thanks!

WMM isn't that bad...check out the Vista version, it's not half bad. Not the best, but I'm cool with it.
It's a good movie maker for amateurs/beginners IMO. But I'm sort of professional so... I lean with Vegas :D

No, it's not bad. It's just when I had it, the thing gave me fits and would freeze like nobodies business. I really got tired of it so I started to use Vegas, but that thing was WAY too much money so I stuck with the free trials.
