Rep Power: 8 ![]() Level: 24 EXP: | I went to Disney World for the first time this Easter break. You'd think it'd be a great experience, and it sorta was. But while I was out at Epcot, someone broke into me and my cousin's hotel room and cleaned us out. I lost my laptop, souvenirs, and my DS and all of the games with it (I'm most upset about this. I lost about 5 years worth of Pokemon that I'd traded from Ruby to FireRed, to Emerald, and to Diamond.) All gone. ;( The hotel will reimburse us for most everything that we lost. (At least I'm getting a DSI, but I'd much rather have all of my Pokemon back). I'm getting the same laptop that I had, but my iTunes wasn't backed up anywhere. I had about 1300 songs on my iTunes, and about 1000 of those songs are on my iPhone. Not all of them were purchased from iTunes (some came from physical CDs, Limewire, etc.) I'd hate to have to re-download everything that came from LimeWire. I know I can transfer all my purchased material to the computer, but what about the other 400 songs I got elsewhere? Guys, I really need to know about any program that can help me. I've heard of Tansee, but I'd rather not have to pay. If I have to pay, I will, but FREE is preferable. Does anyone know of any program, or can somebody confirm whether or not Tansee is worth the money? Huge amounts of rep to anybody who can help me out. |

Rep Power: 8 ![]() Level: 24 EXP: | Can't really check it out yet (no computer) but it looks promising. But it reads iPod to computer. Do you have any idea if it works for iPhones as well? |

| November Blue | This is how I've always done it. First off, in iTunes, make sure "Keep iTunes Music Folder organized" is selected. To double check, in the iTunes Edit menu, choose Preferences and in the Advanced tab, select "Keep iTunes Music Folder organized". Now for the fun stuff. 1) Go to my computer. 2) Your iPod should show up as (something)'s iPod. Double click the icon to get into the drive. 3) In the menu bar (at the top of your screen), click "Tools" and select the dropdown item "Folder Options..." 4) Under the "View" tab, find "Hidden files and folders" 5) Select "Show hidden files and folders" 6) Click "OK" 7) A folder called "iPod_Control" should appear, open it. 8) Under this, you should see a "Music" folder. Open that as well. 9) Now, there will be a bunch of folders with weird names, such as "F01" and "F02". Open these, and there will be music files with even weirder names. No fear. Drag and drop these files to your iTunes, normal names, albums, artists, etc. will appear in iTunes. That should work. No downloading required. It may look like a lot, but it's actually quite easy to do. source: Ipod Tips And Tricks: how to Transfer Music from Ipod to Computer Lifehacker - How to copy songs from your iPod to your PC - Digital Audio |

| space for rent | Should make no difference, the two are near identical except one can make calls. |
