Having used the OS for almost a year now, I will say that it is very, highly crash resistant.

The original beta has never had any problems, after I setup my main computer. I tried the RC1 version on another desktop of mine, but had nothing but headaches. The only problem I ever had was random reboots, caused by memory voltage, and not the OS itself. The system is also fast enough to be used on a netbook.. (Within reason, obviously.)

PS> Only difference between my quad & netbook is that the netbook takes a few seconds longer to boot.

Oh wow that sounds like a pretty good deal, I just got this laptop for school with vista home premium on it and I'd definitely make that upgrade if vista turns out to be a disaster for me as all the reviews have made it sound, that is if the deal lasts that long, probably going to expire before I make up my mind.

Yeah, the laptop I have with vista I pretty much only use for web browsing. My main computer though has XP Pro. I prefer that much more.

I'll most likely get the upgrade for my laptop.

Unless there is something that really appeals to me about Windows 7 I don't see the point in upgrading as I don't foresee a lot, if any freezing/crashing/slow down on this laptop as I won't be downloading all the shit I normally do on XP, gonna be keeping this as clean as possible.

Oh and Mr. 3000 right here.
