Default Are iPods compatible with RealPlayer?

I recently got an 80 GB iPod classic, and I set up RealPlayer as my default media player. It has more of my songs than iTunes does, so is there any way I can sync up my iPod to RealPlayer? My friend does it, but he didn't explain how he did to me (he doesn't have iTunes.)

yeah i doubt you can its just you need to transfer your files over to itunes. I sort of dont like itunes myself cause it tends to start the next song while the last song still has maybe 10 seconds or so to still play.

I just tried syncing directly from RealPlayer. I thought I did it right since it said my songs transferred, but they won't show up on my iPod. Actually, none of my songs are showing up. What'd I do wrong? And how do I transfer from RealPlayer to iTunes?

I'm not entirely sure if or how you can sync up to RealPlayer, but I would suggest moving your music files over to iTunes.

As for this

Preferences > Playback > Uncheck "Crossfade Playback"

Try dragging the files to iTunes, or to your desktop (or a folder) then to iTunes.
You may have to convert the files after you move them to iTunes
Edit > "Select All" > Advanced > Convert Selection To AAC

Just manually find the folder with all your music into it and drag it over to iTunes.

Just import it. I recently set up iTunes for when I get my iPhone next month (and I'm counting the days), but I'm still using Limewire. When I download from Limewire, I go to File>Import and browse in the Limewire's Saved Folder.

But the first time you set up iTunes, it should have automattically searched your harddrive and converted any and all songs and videos that you already have into iTunes. Mine did, I just have to import when I download new songs.

I don't personally use RealPlayer but the text on the bottom of the following page should help you: Link

Before following those instructions though, open up iTunes with your iPod attached and in the iPod's default tab, make sure you un-check the auto-launch feature in iTunes.
