Well, all of our computers are networked, and open to each other through a program, so if whatever it was gained access, byebye internal systems.

Hell, I could probably come up with something to screw the whole system over, but I'm not evil enough.

A year ago my computer accuired an unkown virus and it completely ruined my experience.At first it was minor and I blocked it,then it got worse and it started to attack my files.I couldnt do anything about it.Then it took my computer over.It closed my programs.Then it shut down my computer.I turned the computer back on and my screen said "Cannot find Remote CPU"or something like that.Then a countdown started.It gave me 1:00 to do everything and after the minute was up my computer would terminate everything and shut back down.It was horrible and I was without a computer for 6 months.I had to take it to Staples and found out it had taken out a main program for my motherboard.I dont know what the virus was or how it got there.

This is obviously a virus hoax.

From what I have already read, it doesn't seem probable to be an actual threat. Hence, hoax.
However, the biggest issues are that people will forward:xxx virus messages to say 10 people. Then those ten forward to another ten... and so on. Which is just as bad, if not WORSE than spam. (It can extrapolate very fast.)

These hoax storms can take valuable bandwidth away from smtp servers.. just like spam. In effect, they are such. Never believe what you read, until you can verify it yourself.

Opening an email with an image of a postcard will not destroy your C drive, as far as I know, unless you download something.
