Rep Power: 14 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | K so I hooked up my PC to my 1080p HD TV. Worked fine, full widescreen 1080p resolution. Then last friday or so, I woke up and wtf, the screen was a square block, taking up mostly the right side of the screen. No matter how many settings I played around with, system restore, or anything, I couldn't fix it. Suddenly it fixed itself. Now I got a VGA splitter cable (a VGA cable that splits into two VGA outputs for multiple monitors...since I will be getting my Cintiq soon). Plug in one end to my TV. Voila. The problem arises again. Have been trying for like 3 hours to fix the damn thing, and not even googling has helped me. It will be at the perfect proprotion when the computer starts up, then when it's about to hit the Windows Vista screen, the signal stops, and comes back up, at a distorted proportion and size. A small box taking up mostly the right side of the screen. WTF is up with this weird occuring monitor resolution issue? HOW DO I FIX HELP!! >: EDIT: So I figured out the current problem is the VGA splitter. Was the only one at Fry's, and it looked pretty cheap quality to begin with. Anyone recommend a good VGA splitter, preferably gold-plated? Last edited by Dogenzaka; 04/07/08 at 05:08 AM. |

Rep Power: 14 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Bought new VGA cables. Still nothing changes. As soon as I reboot my computer with the splitter, it makes the screen out of proportion. Quick pic. See how it doesn't take up the whole screen? :( help ![]() |

| I REJECT YOUR REALITY | The settings to make it fit should be on the screen itself, Usually the screen has a menu which you can access from a few buttons. Also your graphics card. |
