Default Genesis Rhapsodos

Not what I expected. I thought Genesis would be portrayed as a cooler or better sephiroth though he does fit as a rival I expected so much more.

And why doesn't Genesis get his own Theme Song like i don't know uh, "The Other One Winged Angel" or something.

I really wish he would get a little more respect really, while playing crisis core I just felt bad for him a and pitied him.

But seriously when does Genesis get his theme song.

I am a devoted Genesis fan. He should be the most powerful. If his power hadn't degraded, then Sephy wouldn't have beat him.

Btw I hate sephy

I feel the same way. I was never really sephiroth fan, but as soon as I saw Genesis I knew he'd be my favorite. The worst part about it all is that Genesis true intentions as well as interpretations of LOVELESS were lost intranslation. In the japanese script he wants to become a hero and save himself. In the english version it seems more like he would do anything to be revered and all he wanted was revenge. The english adaption didn't do Genesis justice. Also LOVELESS is much more beautiful than it sounds. I think if they had gone with a more literal translation it would have came across better.

PLUS- I want Genesis to have his own theme song!

Well Genesis Rhapsodos wasn't an important part of FF7 until the ending of Dirge of Cerebus although I agree he should have been given importance. And one thing, Genesis is weaker than Sephiroth.

It is said by Nomura that Sephiroth is the most powerful being in the FF7 universe

We all know Tifa's a whore practically the way she dresses, I say her boobs are fake.

Aerith is alright, although she is kind of a whore (and a flower fanatic) I mean Cloud, Tseng, Zack and another Turk in Before Crisis? I mean wow..

Cissnei, Kawaiikousoke I love you now that I found a fellow CissneixZack fan. And to you who say Cissnei is flat, she is the youngest Turk

Yes I already read about that official statement. Though I guess we all figured that Sephiroth techinically is stronger than everyone and everything else in FF7, regardless of how many games sor media they put out.
I also agree that Genesis' role really wasn't given the priority I think it should. But I suppose it was mainly just about Zack, that being said, because they didn't really make Angeal or Genesis stand out it kinda made the game lack. I think they'll eventually remake this game at some point .
and have it be much better. It may even be on a console.

That's not entirely true. Sephiroth is the stronger being in FFVII and AC, indeed. But In CC, before Genesis started to degrade, the Crisis Core Ultimania state that Genesis and Sephiroth were equal, at this time he was not stronger. He became stronger later.

Beside, if Genesis will indeed be the hero of the sequel to DoC, they cannot make him have god like power like Sephiroth...

So we might expect a clash between Genesis and Sephiroth in the hopefully last game of the FFVII series

The degrading is what made Genesis weaker back then. After that, Sephiroth obtained that bond with Jenova and became what I would see as stronger than Genesis. Either way, Genesis is an awesome character, one of my favorites from a videogame.

Yup Genesis was weak because of the degrading, and Sephiroth practically denied him his superior cells. In the end though Genesis actually stops the degrading possibly because of the power he gained from the Goddess of the Lifestream (Gift of the Goddess). Not only that but there is also the Deepground ppl, and Weiss power was amazing, but apparently Genesis was extremely important to him so i could only guess that Genesis is pretty powerful, if not maybe equal to or stronger than Sephiroth this time around

Lightbulb Final Fantasy VII remake - a step closer

Hi everyone. Today I completed crisis core, and for me, the prospect of a final fantasy 7 remake moved one step closer. As I have learned from the many square enix games, it's worth while waiting for the end of the credits, and this time it truely was.

Stop reading here in case of spoilers!!

For those who have kept reading to find out why I think this, whether you have completed it or not, I think you'll find that this information does make it slightly more likely for a re-release of the original. We have all seen the tech demo for the ps3, but at the end of crisis core is an edited version of this video, with some speech from cloud, telling you his name and that he is a 1st class soldier member, as he stands on top of the train as it races through midgar. The picture fades and the words "To be continued in final fantasy VII" appears.

Now I know what your thinking, this could just mean the original FFVII. However if you listen to how cloud speaks, It is as if he has more to say, almost as if his speech in the cinematic should continue. The fact that this is linked to a new version is also that in the credits, the tech demo team is mentioned, and that they actually put effort into making a tech demo and this final cinematic makes me wonder even more if this really is going to be a new edition. I'd like to hear your opinions on this, especially if you have also seen this final cinematic.

Well, when we fight Weiss, he is one with Omega, so it's pretty hard to know for sure his "natural power". Nevertheless, in the online mode it is shown that Weiss with his own power can defeat with ease Rosso and Azul together.
I think Weiss's power is around the one of Sephiroth and Genesis from Crisis Core, maybe equal or slightly inferior.

Genesis is important to Weiss for two reason. The experiments made on Weiss which gave him his power used as base Genesis's cell, explaining why he calls Genesis his brother.
Also, at the time Deepground was ruled by the tyrannical Restrictors, who controlled every DG SOLDIERs with chips in their brain, every except Weiss and Nero, and Weiss hoped Genesis would help them to kill Restrictors. But Genesis refused.
Nevertheless, it seems that Genesis's honor is what made him save Weiss at DoC's ending. Without Weiss, Genesis would have been taken by Shinra or killed. Contrary to what appears, Weiss is not evil in fact...

I'm not counting on that happening, although it would be neat. But I prefer sequels anyway. In CC after the credits, Cloud just identifies himself as SOLDIER, first class. That was just added to show that he was already believing that he was a 1st class Soldier, because when FF7 started, we believe that he is an EX-SOLDIER on that first mission. "To be continued in final fantasy VII" sorta told us "You know what happened from here on."

The Tech Demo staff was probably credited because until the part just before the logo, it was practically copied. There are reasons for the PS3 Tech Demo. One would be: at the time, the Advent Children characters were already developed along with Midgar. Also, they had just started on the compilation of FF7 back then.

But there are reason why there wont be a remake. The biggest reason is that the staff mentioned that they are not doing it because it would take 5-8 years. They also said that if they really did have to work on a remake, they would want the original staff back. Another thing is that for the PS2, FF8 had a Tech Demo, but we got no PS2 remake of the game.
