Anyway, I finally got back to playing this game. I still havent finished the missions, but I'm 86% done. I dont expect to complete it anytime soon though.

I'm only about 70% done with the missions, the missions are fun I just wish the would mix it up more than just Cave, random meadow, desert, island, cave, ship, desert, etc. The missions seem to last 5x longer than the story.

I was thinking the same thing. The missions could have been in many other areas. The one cave area reminded me of the road to the Farplane in FFX-2. I actually wonder if they reused the already created stage and just modified it a little.

Rufus, even though they never confirmed his death in game, was at the time pretty much left for dead, seeing at what happened to him, an what happened few time after to the city, it's really a miracle he be alive.
Tseng was in the Japanese version said to be in an hospital nearly dead, even though we clearly saw Sephiroth stabbing him and his body falling dead on the ground.

I agree that technically there was a possibility to bring them back, but at this rate, then Scarlet, Heidegger and Palmer are possibly still alive after FF7 since we see them dying but never have the true proof. Same with Zack.
So, for all we know, in FFVII, we see Zack's death body, so... After Cloud left, maybe someone would have seen him and picked him...

But I am personally happy with this ending. Not happy that he be dead, happy that SE didn't turn Zack into another Cloud or Sephiroth who comes back in every installment just because his name means money.
I don't say Cloud and Sephiroth are pure fan character etc, but it's what SE do with them and it's nice to see they allow Zack to rest.

But IF he had lived and someone would have picked him up, who would it be among the FF7 characters?

The thing is Zack was taken by Angeal into the Lifestream, now I'm not the not brightest VII fan but usually when I see someone go into the lifestream they are dead and aren't coming back except Sephiroth. If that wasn't an issue then I'd also want to see that mother lover Kadaj one more time.

ShinRa was only thought to have died I mean big explosion implies death with most and with Tseng in America we thought he was dead anyways but those two didn't have the confirmation of death the way Zack did thus leaving them able to come back and having reasons to I would say.

Zack to me doesn't really have a reason to come back though besides to encourage Cloud about living or moving on which he has done so he should be left to rest that's what the logical side of me thinks the fanboy side just wants to see the puppy boy. :3

Scarlet,Heidegger, etc could come back too but we don't care about them ;D well maybe Scarlet cause shes hot.

If you like FFVII, then I would suggest getting the game. It's fun, addictive and all that stuff and has enough nostalgia to make any VII fan happy.

If your more into the traditional style of FF games (ATB systems, etc) then CC isn't going to be that great for you.
