Gosh, I just beat 1000 Shinra troops. I feel like I've been playing forever. I just kept using Darkness and then hit the commander. I dont think I've stuck to a non-stop play in a videogame that long before.

I made sure to save it quick.

Probably with Genesis returning as some sort of anti-hero.

That's possible, one of the creators also stated "Cloud's story is not finished yet", and honestly I have difficulty to see Cloud fighting someone else than Sephiroth as last boss. That would be cool if Sephiroth used his true power, and the final battle is something like Cloud and Genesis against Sephiroth. Especially considering that Genesis was Sephiroth's best friend, and Cloud having a kind of Buster sword, Cloud is like Zack in this sense, he brings with him a part of Zack, who had in him a part of Angeal.

Nevertheless, to if they really are going to bring him back, the answer is hard. Sephiroth's will cannot join the Lifestream and kind of survive, that is what happened at Nibeleheim's and FFVII's end. But in AC, he joined the lifestream under the form of his three remnant : Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo. That means his three remnant should merge into the lifestream for he comes back. Note that I don't doubt they can merge in this, it is proved that close soul can meet inside (Zack/Aerith). After that, Sephiroth just have to make one more time, the Reunion

I think this definition of the reunion shows clearly that Sephiroth didn't finish to annoy Cloud XD

I guess thats what happened when Sephiroth fell into the lifestream at Nibelheim's reactor in Crisis Core. Then his body regenerated itself at the northern crater. But I guess he chose that place because that was where Jenova crashed into the planet so the planet would be healing itself and him in the process. So since he died in FF7, its already been about 3 years, and he died in the northern crater so that should speed things up. Maybe the remnants were just a distraction and the real Sephiroth is recovering.

Off the subject, I just thought of something. In DC, Omega ascends from underground. But it was in the center of Midgar, below Shinra Building. After all that chaos (lol, chaos), shouldnt Shinra building be gone? But in AC opening/FF7 extra ending we see it still standing 497 years after DC, and with all the plant life that people embraced.

Sephiroth in AC is the real Sephiroth. He can be thought "fake" due to the fact he appears, but he is the reunion of Kadaj/Yazoo/Loz soul creating his one, infesting the Jenova's cell who divided at exponential rate and re created his physical body. Though I don't doubt Sephiroth could be building another body somewhere else.

As for the Shinra Building, I think it is a plot hole. It's hard to imagine it resisted. But after all, after Cloud/Sephiroth battle, the entrance of the building should have been definitely destroyed, and still Vincent had no difficulty to enter in. Maybe this building is more resistant than what it looks like...

I always thought that was just Kadaj and the Jenova cells that created Sephiroth. Weren't Loz and Yazoo already damaged by Rude's explosive?

^ Stay far of him and try to use Thunder. When he does his limit, heal immediately after. He is hard, but if you can avoid his attack and defend just when needed, he should be ok.

Well, I guess they were, but, that is the only way I found for explaining how they both were at the top of Shinra's building. If Rude's explosive could near of kill them, I don't think they'd have could go at the top of the building while it is in ruins and Cloud/Sephiroth made a god like battle. I am not sure, but that's my guess. Kadaj was the most important though.
Only things I am sure is that Sephiroth was the true one, and that he had near of god like power at this moment, he merely lost because he wanted make suffer the most possible Cloud.

^I see. So the reality of it could lean either way. Well I dont believe that it is Kadaj due to the massive power and confidence increase, but I kinda saw it as Sephiroth's spirit possessing Kadaj like it did in Healin when he kneels down to Rufus Shinra. I dunno, I'm probably wrong anyway.

I just stayed behind him and kept hitting and healing. Also use dodge (square button) whenever you see him start to make a move. It is really useful.

^Maybe one more. Get to level 12 preferably. But I'm pretty sure you can do it on level 10.

Okay I got a theory idea which I posted on another forum so I figured since we're like dying here again, I'll put it up here too. A member of that forum, Dark & Divine, gave me an idea by talk about another Jenova landing on the planet. For this theory, I named her JEN2. The idea also sticks to Lezard Valeth's idea of Sephiroth returning and Loveless depicted differently from Crisis Core.

IDEA:
Sephiroth is resurrected again. The other Jenova (JEN2 for now) lands on the planet. It is stronger than Sephiroth. Genesis goes to ask Sephiroth for his help, and they both return to Edge to pick up their last friend (according to Loveless), the other Zack/Angeal -- Cloud. Sephiroth and Cloud choose to fight together with Genesis to save the Planet.

HOW I'D LIKE IT TO GO:
I am picturing a scene of Sephiroth seeing Lucrecia for the first time. So touching. Then after they defeat JEN2, Sephiroth absorbs her cells and tries to exact his revenge on Cloud. Cloud gets hurt bad, but Genesis sacrifices himself to save Cloud and the planet, and destroy JEN2, Jenova cells and Sephiroth for good. In the end we find that Cloud is no more a prisoner to his Jenova cells, and he kept Angeal's oath to his friends. Sephiroth had wondered the lifestream, reaching land after land (with the remnants), resurrecting himself but is now gone forever.

And Genesis. He became a hero. This story seems to fit well as a movie and sort of follows Loveless. But I remember Nojima say that he wanted to do something with Cloud like AC again. Maybe it will be a movie.
I'd call it "Final Fantasy VII : The Promised Land".

The return of the Weapons would be nice plot as well. What if the control over them fell into the wrong hands?

Mere curiosity due to the fact I am an human being, do you mean ACF forum...?

Theoretically, Sephiroth has enough Negative Lifestream to create a WEAPON...
The idea of a second Jenova is possible. I'd like to learn more on Jenova's specie. But, I don't think it'd be stronger than Sephiroth, merely because they would never want to do a being superior to Sephiroth. But they could say that only Sephiroth has enough power to hope defeat her...

After, I personally love the idea of Sephiroth/Genesis/Cloud fighting together. Actually, if it had to happen, I wouldn't like Sephiroth turning against Cloud. What about a Sephiroth not interested any more by conquering the world and that under the influence of Genesis re becomes like in CC, good? Genesis was his best friend, all possibility are opened. I admit they'd more likely want to finish by the death of an evil Sephiroth, but finishing with a Sephiroth being like he was in CC would look good. Or even, evil Sephiroth, but at the very end, Sephiroth sacrifice himself to save his ancient best friend like, Genesis, and will never come back because a part of him when he was good emerged.

Well, to summarize it, it's kinda like Kadaj is Sephiroth, but Sephiroth is not Kadaj. Hard to define...

Heh, yeah, it was ACF. I suppose Sephiroth could become good, but I just cant picture it. Although without Jenova, could Sephiroth truely exist? Nobody knows what Sephiroth's personality was before he was introduced to Jenova cells because he was born that way so he would be a completely different person.

Without Jenova, Sephiroth is basically how we see him in CC, and when he is with friend he is like in the battle scene.

As for what I said about kadaj, what I meant is like, Kadaj is Sephiroth's soul with new personality, memories, form. But, he is Sephiroth. In same time, he is only a tool for the true Sephiroth comes back, meaning that Sephiroth is not Kadaj.
