the only two bad things in FFVII are the graphics and the fact that there was no voice acting
other than that the game is perfect
that's why square enix thought of making a remake for it... but will they make it?

Yes, the game was amazing, and I suppose alot of fans influenced a sequel. That and the big boys of the Square staff admitted that FF7 was their favorite Final Fantasy. And thats because its an FF that focuses on a realistic point -- the circle of life.

Also a note on Genesis. Did anyone see him as a bad guy? I did originally but at the end when he is sitting next to Cloud, I realized that he's not a villain. It was Zack who killed Angeal because Angeal felt he was a monster as the result of Hollander. It was Sephiroth who killed Cloud's mother, and burned his hometown, and hurt Tifa. It was Hojo who experimented on Zack and Cloud, and turned Shinra against them. It was Hojo who made Sephiroth into what he is. It was the Shinra Force who killed Zack. Genesis was just trying to expose the truth.

Also I think they changed the story a bit. I dont mind the part where Genesis appears when Sephiroth finds out who he is, because in FF7, Cloud told the story. But at the part when Zack and Cloud escape from the lab, Angeal frees them. In FF7, if you go there, there's scratching on the glass in the tank where Cloud was, and it said "Lets get out of here." and the scratching on the other tank where Zack was said "We'll wait for lunch." But in Crisis Core, Cloud was already high on mako and couldnt think, and Zack's tank was broken from the outside.

I need the Pheonix as well. Does anyone know if you can get it AFTER Nibelheim, as in in a mission?

So obviously Genesis didnt die after Weiss and Nero returned him to Shin-ra, but he was sealed with the Deep Ground SOLDIERs, and is now free again.

Genesis and Project G was never mentioned in the original Final Fantasy VII. FFVII was a really great game, but it had to be played during its time to truely appreaciate it. People that play it now are too used to the modern graphics, voice acting, and high-channel music. And since FF7 doesnt seem to match up to this, players are disappointed.
Yeah I saw the secret ending where Genesis was released and all... and I was so confused >.> lol I guess I have to play Dirge of Cerberus then? <sigh> just another game lol... I heard that Dirge wasnt really that important though... and not such a great game so i passed it over.

i never even considered him (or should i say her) important at all
if you even take him off from the story you'll see that he's only a filler
that idiot nomura only put him in the game because of his beloved homo gackt
if you don't know who gackt is search for his pictures and you'll see that he looks exactly like genesis
but yes genesis wasn't bad... he's just gay

lol some memory you got there
but angeal didn't free zack, he's dead
zack broke it himself
they did change the story a bit, but only in parts that include genesis
because in FFVII genesis didn't even exist

It might not seem like it, but, that actually is a response to what Genesis was saying:

"My soul, corrupted by vengeance
Hath endured torment to find the end of the journey
In my own salvation
And your eternal slumber."

What Zack realized was the true meaning of the last line. Up until that point, it had seemed like a threat - "I've been seeking [my salvation and] your death." But, Zack notices that Genesis is actually reciting the line, not to him, but to the statue of the Goddess - so, what he really means is, "I've been seeking [my own salvation and] peace in the Lifestream [through death]."

So, "You knew, the whole time...?" refers to Genesis knowing that he was going to die at the end of his little reenactment. Which also explains why Zack seems sad when he says the next line - "Why are people always pushing these things on me?" - Zack realized that Genesis is basically going to force him into killing him, just like Angeal did.

This is also the reason behind the cutscene with Genesis and the Goddess, where she turns him away - he thinks that he's finally gained what he's been seeking (and seems positively ecstatic about this - he's got the same look on him as Sephiroth did when he met Jenova), but, she tells him, "no, it's not your time to die yet" and sends him back, even though he doesn't want to go.

DoC does have a slightly important story line. Most of it revolves around Vincent's past which I found to be the most interesting. Vincent's past also shows alot of the Jenova experiment, and you get to see how Lucrecia reacted to it before she decided to go through with it and give birth to Sephiroth. Then there's the present story which revolve around Deep Ground and the Tsviets or however you spell that. I thought it wasnt important but after seeing Nero and Weiss in Crisis Core, I think it will be important for the next FFVII game.

Fans didnt like it because its not like other Final Fantasy games. Its a shooter. And in Japan, the gameplay was worse, US got better gameplay so dont listen to Japanese reviews. XP

I think Genesis had to look like Gackt because in DoC, Gackt played Genesis. It was the real Gackt but dressed up as Genesis. A difficult task to perform when working with CG. People normally put a CG character in a real world, this is the other way around. I wouldnt blame Nomura though, his past character designs were not like Gackt. And lol, I also saw Genesis to be gay -- well he is based off Gackt who acts totally wierd on stage, but his songs rock. Although my sister likes him, so I wouldnt outcast Genesis as long as fans exist, he must be cool.

Yeah sorry, I meant Angeal-Lazard.

Ikkin, I gotta hand it to you. You are extremely smart for figuring that out. It all makes sense now, thanks. I was wondering why Minerva denies her union with Genesis. I thought Zack broke the statue and destroyed her spirit before Genesis could get to her. But I was like, "So whats that got to do with anything?"

I haven't actually played the game, but I watched all of the cutscene on YouTube.

Personally, I found the story kind of interesting. It could have been better, but it wasn't bad.

Im glad Nomura came to his senses and didn't make him like that. I like how the design of genesis came out for crisis core, but i wouldn't like it if they made genesis exactly like Gackt. He looks horrible with braids... especially because of the extra hair swirling down from back. It works for some people,, but not all of them.

Genesis's look in Crisis Core is by far better than that image from imageshack. Glad Genesis came out this way.

Alright. I want the VA who played Aerith in this game to play Aerith in KH3. Let's forget Mena Suvari ever played her and pretend Aerith was suffering from a severe cold at the time.

Anyway, I aw all the cutscenes on youtube. Aerith is sexy. Tifa is sexy. Cloud is a little whimpy. Sephiroth...finally got the character development he deserved. He really shined in this game. Zack...what can you say? He's so cool. Great friend, great personality, awesome skills; he's actually the coolest FF main character in a while. He's not too emo and he's not too hyper. He's a perfect mix of both.

Genesis is also interesting character. I hope we get to see him again in a future installment only because I want to see how he interacts with Cloud and his friends. Overall, a cool character.
