| Players adapt not survive | Pretty great game. I'm going to tell you now. Train like there is no tomorrow. You will need the training for a boss battle far into the game. The bosses super tough in this game.Plus the regular enemies get real tough to beat as well so buy alot of healing stuff so, you will be to have some when the face the boss because the enemies will take away alot of your healing items from all the damage they will do. The battle system was amazing in my opinion. I would link together attacks to make dangerous combos that did tremendous damage. Fayt was cool especially since he learned how to fight from video games. See games are educational. |

Nel's a keeper :3 Word of warning. When you're told to switch to the second disc, do not do so. Edit: Star Ocean: The Second Story is also great. Star Ocean games are not directly related but they do take place in chronological order. You will see references from previous games in the newer ones. Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Why I put in the second disk, nothing was wrong, and I beat the game, so easy, now Im just trying to make items and play the ranking battles in a world that was so colurful I forgot the pace though,it is so cool. Even when your done with the game you can still keep playing, and the 2 player fight mode is cool too. If you really like this game, then just ta let you know, there making 2 star ocean games for the psp soon. ANd I dont think tha there is a love triangle in it, I just think there friends... |

| m e l o d y . e x e | It could be a love triangle, but it hasn't been confirmed. After all, Fayt can get an ending with any of the playable characters! Which determines a special post-game extra boss fight....not gonna spoil it.... When the game goes to the second disk, it starts out with an interesting revelation or two:
Robert Leingod, Fayt's pops, dies shielding his son from Biwig's fatal gun blast thingy...or something. If that ray hits ya in the vitals, consider yerself a goner. (The 7th perm party member, be it Nel, Albel, or Roger, will save the gang out of a tight spot but get hit by that ray in a limb or something, debilitating them for a while.) I'll explain later... Also, you know how, when the Vendeeni invaded Elicoor II, and Fayt unknowingly unleashed his dormant power of Destruction, and then Maria showed up and explained the crisis, including that she had a power as well (Alteration) and she needed to talk to Robert once he and Sophia were freed from captivity? Well, after Robert dies and Fayt and company head to a lab in Moonbase, they learn the purpose behind Fayt's and Maria's powers, and that there is one more person with a special power -- Sophia was imbued with the power of Connection! What all 3 powers can do.... find out fer yerself.
Then things get kinda nonsensical from there, but it's still fun =D The extra bosses were thrown in after you clear the game, and the US version has 2 additional playable characters - Mirage Koas and Adray Lasbard. Each character has their own set of strengths and weaknesses, as well as special techs n'such. Play around with those characters to unlock their secret potential. |

| Being mellow | Man I lved all my characters like crazy in that game. the extra bosses are hard as hell. Well only two for me. But overall Star Ocean Till the end of Time was a great game. I like the second story more cause that was a lot harder. Can't wait till the next gen star ocean to come out. ![]() |

| m e l o d y . e x e | I alternate btwn characters for techniques and certain capabilities n such. Fayt - can reach over 5000+ DEF, making Freya's Ether Strike do as much damage as a SUPER TICKLE ATTACK. o.O Sophia - can set more spells to Battle Skills buttons, and has some nifty spells only she can use. Oh and long range attacks = pwnage. Maria - Energy Burst, nuff said. Nel - Flying Guillotine + chain bonuses = win. Cliff - Fists. Of. Fury. Peppita - haven't expirimented with her long enough, can't say... Roger - Flying Torpedo to zoom in from afar, then Piercing Claw the baddie to death >D Albel - He's very fast in battle Mirage - haven't experimented enough Adray - same as Mirage and Peppita When I have have time, I'll play with Peppita, Mirage and/or Adray some more to bring out their full potential~ |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | The greatest challenge for me was getting the battle trophies. I attempted to play the "solo strait" way just for fun, I just made it to the Freya battle and left it there. My favorite might be Fayt with the awesome Air Raid, Dimension Door but I also like Nel with her Mirror Slice. Great game, I was hoping for another Star Ocean, or something like it. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Yeah mirror slice was cool, so was divine wave, I liked sophia lightning(the lvl 60 one) move too, and fayts air raid was cool, I cant believe my friend maxed thier lvl to 256............scary.... |

| m e l o d y . e x e | ^ You mean 255 right? That's how far I got mine....jeez ppl there IS NO 256!! e.e; How can I unlock Adray's "full potential"? ANd what other good ways to use Mirage and/or Peppita are there? Experimenting with characters is fun xD So is Battle Trophies....eh but I stopped at 240 trophies (unlocks 4p outfit for characters). I hear Full Active Mode, unlocked at 285 trophies, actually makes the game HARDER.... ![]() |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I've maxed out 255 on Fayt and Nel only. Adray... I don't use him too much but the thing about him is that he reminds me of my Uncle David with the same looks (its the grey beard) and hair style but wears a suit. Imagine that...Anyways, what character is good at Mp killing? I haven't experimented with everyone but Fayt, Nel, and Albel... |
