Default Square and their Swords

In Clouds fight with Kadaj, you see Kadaj strike upwards and Clouds sword goes flying, so he steps back or something, reaches into his cloak and pulls another sword completely out of nowhere while his other sword is still in the background. (I spotted this with my super-slow computer).

Plus in Kingdom Hearts, Sora's walking around and then when a bad guys pops out. Out of nowhere comes the Keyblade.

Samething with FFX, Tidus, Auron and everyone are walking around , then boom - badguy and then poof, the swords and weapons.

I'm a logical person, so I just can't get over this. Where the hell do the swords go and where do they come from? Some of you might think of this as random and I don't care. I just wanna know about the swords.

LOL!! This is class you've posted that, seeing as I've thought it before and didn't want to be the one who said it.

Some other stuff .. like .. In Final Fantasy X when they launch an attack on Bevelle, and there sliding down the metal chains, they make it very obvious not to show Lulu sliding down. I mean, where the heck did every single one of them learn to do that? o_O;; Everything else in FFX is plausable (to that world anyway) but the sliding on the chains was just ..
..
..
O_O;;

And I wanted to see Lulu do it, and get her dress caught, and fall. :(

But anyway off topic.. Yes! The swords! .. ¬_¬

Yeah I noticed that too, I viewed it again and at first I thought he uses some kind of magic to pull the first sword back to his hand, but it turns out he uses a new one (whilst the 1st sword is flying away he already uses the other one).

Honestly, I dunno, maybe he uses a new type of Materia ??

Sounds like you guys are talking about Mallet Space.

But yeah, that bugs me too. I remember in one fanfic they explained it as some sort of summoning spell, but that's disproved by the entire "escape from Gabaldina Prision" thing in FFVIII.

SO what is with the swords?

In KH, Sora summons the Keyblade, as seen in the KH2 trailers. With FF?

I dunno. :D

Well, think about Grand Theft Auto. ;)

I think it some kind of summoning spell or sqaure enix just thought the players would over look the technicality and didn't have to elaborate about the weapons storage.

Actually it isn't Square unique. Morrowind (Bethesda Softworks), and American RPG, does the same thing.

Just a RPG made by an american company. Supposedly they're less colorful than Japanese RPGs. *shrugs*
There's some people that prefer one over the other, but I'm looking foward to the next Elder Scroll game as much as I'm looking foward to KH2.

That's a good question, I sometimes wonder where Sora keyblade comes all of the sudden in battle. I guess they pull it out of thin air.

XD I've often thought about this. And I noticed the Lulu sliding down the chain thing too, and it always bugged me in Final Fantasy 7 when you're in a party the people just kinda walk into each other instead of following behind. XD (Hard to explain O.o; )

Well as someone said, Sora summons the keyblade. Probably same for Tidus' sword etc.
